학생생활기록부 비교과영역에 대한 교사와 대학입학관계자 인식 분석

국문 초록

  본 연구는 학교생활기록부의 비교과영역 신뢰에 관한 교사와 대학입학관계자의 인식을 분석하기 위한 목적을 가진다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 95개 대학 입학관계자와 전국 369명의 교사를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그리고 대학입학처장(팀장) 8명, 현직교사 7명과 심층면담을 실시하였다. 연구결과 생활기록부 비교과영역에 대해 교사들이 대학관계자들보다 더욱 신뢰하는 경향을 보였다. 대학에서는 생활기록부 비교과영역을 입시에 거의 반영하지 않고 있으며, 이 영역을 입시에 반영하려는 의지도 매우 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 원인이 무엇인지 대학입학 관계자와 심층 면담을 실시하였다. 대학입학관계자들은 비교과영역을 반영하였을 때 공정성과 객관성을 중시하는 교육 풍토속에서 여러 가지 부작용이 나타날 것을 두려워하였다. 그리고 현재 생활기록부 비교과영역은 입시에 반영하기에 부족한 면이 많다고 지적했다. 일선 고교교사들은 생활기록부 비교과영역을 제대로 기록할 수 없는 입시위주의 교육 풍토와 과도한 학급인원, 대학의 의지부족 등 제대로 된 여건이 갖추어지지 않았음을 지적하였다. 연구자들은 이러한 분석결과를 바탕으로 해서 학교생활기록부의 나아가야 할 방향에 대해서 제시하였다.

영문 초록

  This study aims to analyze the degrees of recognition of both high school teachers and university professors in charge of entrance examination affairs on extra－curricula area reliability in personal school performance record. The initial sample for this study consisted of 95 university persons of entrance examination affairs and 369 high school teachers. Another sample for further interview consisted of 8 key admission deans and 7 key high school expert teachers.
  The findings of this study are briefly outlined as follows :
  As to the level of reliability of extra－curricula area in personal school record there seems to be a higher tendency in high school teachers than in university professors. Extra－curricula data are almost not available and not considered significant for the entrance examination by most of university authorities. Thus, further interview with key university admission experts as well as high school expert teachers was conducted to find out the above reasons and causes. On the whole university authorities are not sure of objectivity and fairness as to the reliability of extra－curricula data in personal school performance record available for the entrance examination up to now. They assert that the extra－curricula area data in personal school record are not enough available for university admission in our current entrance examination oriented society climate.
  In conclusion, substantial and feasible alternatives and measures in terms of forms and contents of extra－curricula in personal school performance record must be designed and made on the basis of these analysis results.
