국문 초록

한국과 일본의 미술수업은 자국의 미술과 교육과정과 교육여건, 교육정책, 교육환경 등에 의해 운영되고 영향 받는다. 이 연구는 한·일 초등학교와 중학교의 미술과 수업운영 및 현황에 대한 비교연구를 통해 미술과 교육과정에 따른 변인들을 조사하고 유사점과 차이점 등을 살펴보기 위한 것이다. 설문지 실태조사에 의한 결과분석, 학습내용 및 교사의 지도방법에 대한 초·중등 학생들의 반응, 미술과 수업에 대한 초·중등교사들의 의견 등은 한·일 미술교육의 현황을 이해하고 문제점을 파악하며 미술교과교육의 질을 개선하는데 있어 기초 자료로 활용 될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study is designed to investigate similarities and differences of art class's management and present conditions in Korean and Japanese primary and secondary schools using questionnaire methodology. The questions are directed to find out the physical environments of a classroom, art activities, art materials, teaching-lesson methods, the problem issues and suggestions. The participants include 746 Korean and Japanese are primary students, 626 secondary students, 171 primary teachers, 122 secondary art teachers. Korea and Japan's art classes are managed and influenced by each country's own national art curriculum, art education circumstances, art education policies and art education environment. The responses and opinions of primary and secondary students and teachers will provide basic information about the present condition of art education in Korea and Japan. We must consider seriously the opinions of Korea and Japan's primary and secondary students related art lessons and its contents. We must reconsider these topics such as how to make a criteria of propriety and grade of ranks for the art lessons, how a teacher can take an art class to stimulate students' curiousness and participation, how a teacher can develop each student's artistic skills and aesthetic ability, how a student can get a artistic knowledge in relating subject matters, materials and tools. Art administrators and art educators should listen carefully to those suggestions made by Korean and Japan's primary teachers and secondary art teachers regarding new hopes for art class and opinions of teachers' specialty. They must work hard to bring up these things to improve the quality and substantiality of art educations. In others words, they must deliberate what the art education field needed and adopt these ideas and opinions to the educational policy for betterment of the art education in Korea.
