국문 초록

제7차 교육과정이 표방하고 있는 학습자 중심의 다양하고 특성화된 만들어 가는 교육과정이 미술 교과에서는 어떻게 구현되고 있는가를 파악하는데 이 연구의 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 초등학교에서 제7차 국가 수준의 미술과 교육과정이 시·도 및 지역 교육청, 단위 학교에 이르기까지 각각의 수준에 맞게 다양화·특성화되어 편성된 사례들을 문서 분석을 통해 살펴보았고, 미술 수업 관찰 및 면담, 교사 협의회를 통해 다양화·특성화된 운영 사례들을 살펴보았다. 또한 보다 바람직한 미술과 교육과정의 재구성을 위해 미술과의 편성·운영 과정에서 보완해야 할 방안과 지원 방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the adaptive process and reality of the visual art curriculum at the elementary school level based on the 7th national curriculum. It examined the process and procedure in what ways the national visual art curriculum has been organizing and implementing at the local boards of education level, school level, and class level. For this, class observation, in-depth interview, focus group interview, and document analysis are conducted in two criteria such as the degree of ‘diversification and specialization’ of the visual art curriculum. Data from multiple collection methods are analyzed using qualitative analysis. The diversification and specialization are described in the four elements(objectives, contents, teaching methods, and evaluation) of the 7th national visual art curriculum at elementary school level. Consequently, the two characteristics are relatively founded on the visual art curriculum organization and implementation. Conclusively, it is provided teachers, the school administrators, and policy makers with relevant and practical suggestions for improving the visual art curriculum reorganization.
