국문 초록

본 연구는 놀이⋅체험⋅생활 중심의 통합적 환경교육 프로그램이 유아의 환경보전지식과 자연친화적 태도 형성에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서 적용한 환경교육 프로그램은 유아들이 놀이와 그림책 연계 활동, 다양한 체험활동, 가정과 연계된 생활 중심 교육을 통해 환경보전 개념을 자연스럽게 학습하고 실천할 수 있도록 구성되었다. 연구 대상은 충청남도 소재 G시와 C시에 위치한 공립 병설유치원의 만 6세 학급 유아 40명(실험집단 20명, 통제집단 20명)이며, 총 8개월에 걸쳐 프로그램을 적용하고 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 실험집단은 환경보전지식과 자연친화적 태도에서 모두 통계적으로 유의미한 향상을 보였으며, 통제집단과의 비교에서도 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 이는 놀이⋅체험⋅생활이 통합된 환경교육 접근이 유아의 환경 개념 이해 및 태도 형성에 효과적이라는 점을 실증적으로 보여준다. 이를 통해 유아 환경교육에서는 유아의 발달적 특성을 고려한 놀이 및 체험 중심의 접근이 중요하며, 환경보전 개념을 단순히 학습하는 차원을 넘어 놀이와 생활 속에서 자연스럽게 실천으로 이어질 수 있도록 구성된 교육이 필요함을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of integrated environmental education programs centered on play, experience, and life on the formation of children's environmental preservation knowledge and nature-friendly attitudes. The environmental education program applied in this study is designed so that children can naturally learn and practice the concept of environmental preservation through play and picture book-linked activities, various experience activities, and life-oriented education linked to home. The subjects of the study were 40 children in a 6-year-old class (20 in the experimental group and 20 in the control group) of public kindergartens located in G and C cities in Chungcheongnam-do, and the program was applied and analyzed over a total of 8 months. As a result of the study, the experimental group showed a statistically significant improvement in both environmental preservation knowledge and naturefriendly attitudes, and significant differences were also found in comparison with the control group. This empirically shows that the environmental education approach in which play, experience, and life are integrated is effective in understanding children's environmental concepts and forming attitudes. Through this, it was confirmed that a play- and experience-oriented approach considering the developmental characteristics of infants is important in early childhood environmental education, and education designed to lead to natural practice in play and life beyond simply learning the concept of environmental preservation.
