유아교사가 인식하는 기관장의 디지털 리더십 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 기관장의 디지털 리더십에 대한 유아교사의 인식을 살펴보고, 그들의 관점에서 기관장이 갖추어야 할 디지털 리더십을 탐색하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 2024년 9월부터 12월까지 유치원과 어린이집의 유아반 담임교사 12명을 대상으로, 4그룹으로 나누어 초점 집단 인터뷰(FGI)를 실시하였다. FGI를 통해 수집된 면담 자료는 반복적이고 점진적인 과정을 통해 질적으로 분석하였으며, 도출된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아교사는 기관장의 디지털 리더십에 대해 교사와는 다른 수준과 차원의 접근이 필요하다고 보았으며, 기관장의 이해와 관심, 관점에 따라 기관의 디지털 환경과 활용 방향성이 달라지기 때문에 기관장의 디지털 리더십이 필수적이라고 인식하였다. 둘째, 유아교사 관점에서 바라본 기관장이 갖춰야 할 디지털 리더십은 ‘디지털 환경에서의 기관 비전 제시’, ‘디지털 혁신을 위한 상호협력적인 기관 문화 조성’, ‘디지털 활용을 위한 교사 지원과 개입의 적당한 선 지키기’, ‘기관장의 디지털 이해, 소통 및 활용’으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과는 유아교사의 실천적 경험을 바탕으로 기관장의 디지털 리더십을 탐색했다는 점에서 의의가 있으며, 유아교육 현장에서의 디지털 활용과 유아교사의 디지털 역량 함양을 위해서 기관장의 디지털 리더십이 중요함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine early childhood teachers' perceptions of the digital leadership of directors and to explore the digital leadership that directors should possess from the teachers' perspectives. To achieve this, focus group interviews (FGI) were conducted with 12 preschool and daycare teachers, divided into 4 groups, from September to December 2024. The interview data collected through the FGI were qualitatively analyzed through a repetitive and progressive process, and the findings are as follows. First, early childhood teachers believed that the digital leadership of directors requires a different level and approach than that of teachers, and they recognized that the digital environment and direction of its use in the institution depend on the director's understanding, interest, and perspective, making the director's digital leadership essential. Second, from the teachers' perspective, the digital leadership that a director should have includes ‘presenting the institution's vision in a digital environment’, ‘creating a collaborative organizational culture for digital innovation’, ‘maintaining an appropriate balance in teacher support and intervention for digital integration’, and ‘the director's digital understanding, communication, and utilization’. These findings are significant in that they explore the digital leadership of directors based on the practical experiences of early childhood teachers, and they suggest that digital leadership is important for the digital utilization in early childhood education and the development of teachers' digital competencies.
