노화불안에 관한 연구 동향: 국내 학술지를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 노화 불안에 관한 연구 동향을 파악하는 데 목적이 있다. 한국교육학술정보원(RISS)에서 ‘노화불안’ 및 ‘노후불안’을 주요 키워드로 검색하여 총 48편의 연구물을 발행연도, 연구대상, 연구방법 및 연구주제, 연구변인, 측정도구를 기준으로 분석하였으며 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 발행연도별 논문의 수는 2018년에 가장 많았다. 둘째, 연구대상은 중년층이 29.1%로 단일 연령집단 중에서는 가장 활발히 연구되었다. 셋째, 연구방법 및 연구주제를 분석한 결과 양적연구가 95.8%로 가장 빈번하였으며 그 중 변인 간 관계 연구, 집단 간 차이 검증, 척도 개발 및 타당화, 프로그램 효과 검증 순으로 많은 연구가 진행되었다. 넷째, 연구변인별 분석 결과 노화불안을 종속변인으로 사용하여 연령, 성별 등 개인의 일반적 특성과의 관계를 파악하는 연구가 가장 많았다. 다섯째, 측정 도구로는 Lasher와 Faulkender(1993)가 개발한 노화불안척도(Anxiety about Aging Scale, AAS) 또는 해당 척도를 번안한 척도가 가장 많이 사용되었다. 본 연구는 이러한 분석 결과를 토대로 연구의 의의 및 한계점과 후속연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives: The objective of this study was to understand the research trends in aging anxiety. Methods: A total of 48 studies were analyzed on the basis of publication year, research subjects, research methods and research topics, research variables, and measurement tools by searching "aging anxiety" and "aging anxiety" as major keywords using the Korea Education and Research Information Service(RISS). Results: First, the number of papers by publication year was the highest in 2018. Second, the subjects of the study were 29.1% of middle-aged people, which was the most actively studied among a single age group. Third, because of the analysis of research methods and research topics, quantitative research was the most frequent at 95.8%, and many studies were conducted in the order of relationship research between variables, group differences verification, scale development and validation, and program effect verification. Fourth, because of the analysis by research variable, most studies used aging anxiety as a dependent variable to identify the relationship with the general characteristics of individuals, such as age and gender. Fifth, as a measurement tool, the Anxiety About Aging Scale (AAS) developed by Lacher and Faulkender (1993) or a scale that adapted the scale was most frequently used. Conclusions: Based on these analysis results, this study discussed the significance and limitations of the study and suggested follow-up research.
