성격유형과 상담에 관한 연구 동향: 국내 학술논문을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 내담자의 성격유형과 상담에 관한 연구 동향을 확인하고, 향후 연구에 대한 방향성을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 28개의 국내 학술지와 학위논문을 연구대상으로 선정하였으며, 게재 연도, 연구대상, 연구방법, 연구 변수, 측정 도구를 분석하였고, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국내 내담자의 성격유형 및 상담과 관련된 연구는 1989년부터 시작되었으며, 2000년 이후 논문 및 학술지에서 매년 1편 이상의 연구가 꾸준히 발표되고 있다. 둘째, 연구대상으로는 대학생을 대상으로 한 연구가 가장 많았고 그 뒤로는 청소년, 성인, 초등학생 순서로 진행되었다. 셋째, 자료수집 방법으로 질문지 사용이 가장 많았으며, 양적 연구가 주로 실시되었다. 넷째, 연구변인 측면에서는 성격유형과 문제유형에 대한 연구가 2편, 성격유형과 상담에 대한 기대에 관한 연구가 14편, 성격유형과 선호하는 상담유형에 관한 연구가 3편, 성격유형과 상담 접근 방식의 평가에 관한 연구가 3편, 성격유형과 상담모델에 관한 연구가 6편 순서로 진행되었다. 다섯째, 가장 많이 사용된 측정 도구는 MBTI(Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) 성격유형 검사였다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 국내 성격유형 및 상담연구에서의 주요 쟁점과 향후 연구에 대한 제언을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to confirm the research trends on the personality type and counseling of the client and to present its direction in future research. Methods: To this end, 28 domestic journals and dissertations were selected as research subjects, and the year of publication, research subjects, research methods, research variables, and measurement tools were analyzed, and the results of the study are as follows. Results: First, research related to the personality types and counseling of domestic clients began in 1989, and since 2000, more than one study has been consistently produced each year in dissertations and academic journals. Second, the most common research subjects were college students, followed by adolescents, adults, and elementary school students in that order. Third, the most common data collection method was the use of questionnaires, and quantitative research was primarily conducted. Fourth, in terms of research variables, there were 2 studies on personality types and problem types, 14 studies on personality types and expectations for counseling, 3 studies on personality types and preferred counseling styles, 3 studies on personality types and evaluation of counseling approaches, and 6 studies on personality types and counseling models conducted in that order. Fifth, the most commonly used measurement tool was the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) personality type assessment. Conclusions: Based on the results of this study, major issues in domestic personality types and counseling research and future suggestions for research were discussed.
