국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 우리나라 교육과정 연구의 흐름에서 나타난 교육과정 이해와 개발의 괴리의 문제를 해소하고자 1970년대 미국 재개념주의 논의에 대한 해석을 통하여 한국 교육과정연구의 방향을 규범적으로 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 본 연구는 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 한국 교육과정 연구의 방향을 탐색한 선행 연구 결과와 재개념주의에서의 교육과정 이해 및 개발의 의미와 역할에 대한 선행 연구 결과를 분석하였다. 연구결과: 본 연구에서는 currere를 동사적 의미로 해석하여 재개념화한 재개념주의의 논의에 기반하여 우리나라 교육과정연구의 방향을 학습자 중심 개발 패러다임으로 규정하고 전통적으로 교육과정연구에서 다루어야 할 기본 질문으로 인식되어 온 ‘무엇을, 왜, 어떻게 가르칠 것인가?’를 ‘학습자의 성장을 위하여 가르칠 가치가 있는 것은 무엇인가?’로 변경하고, 교육과정연구에서 이해의 범위를 학습자, 교사, 교과, 사회, 국가 교육과정으로 확장시키는 한편, 교육과정 개발에서는 이해에 따른 구체적인 실행방법을 개발하는 것에도 관심을 가져야 한다는 점을 제시하였다. 논의 및 결론: 본 연구에서는 본 연구에서 제안한 교육과정연구의 방향에 기반한 후속 연구로 학습자 주도성의 실현 방안과 대학 입학에 경도되어 있는 우리나라 교육 현실의 변화 방안 탐색 등을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The aim of this study is to normatively explore the direction of Korean curriculum research through the interpretation of reconceptualization in the United States in order to solve the problem of the gap between understanding and developing in the Korean curriculum research. Method: In order to achieve the research purpose, this study analyzed the results of previous studies that explored the direction of Korean curriculum research and the meaning and role of understanding and developing in the reconceptualization. Results: Based on the re-conceptualizing learner-centered curriculum development paradigm, this study proposed the following three directions for Korean curriculum research based on the linkage of understanding and development of the curriculum. First, 'what, why, and how to teach?', which has traditionally been recognized as basic questions to be addressed in curriculum research, has to be changed to 'what is worth teaching for the growth of learners?' Second, the scope of understanding in curriculum research has to be expanded to learners, teachers, subjects, society, and national curriculum. Third, the interest should be paid to developing specific implementation methods according to understanding in the development of the curriculum. Conclusion: Instead of conclusion, this study proposed a follow-up study based on the direction of curriculum research proposed in this study, such as realizing learner initiative and exploring ways to change the reality of education in Korea, which is focused on entering universities.
