표준보육과정과 어린이집 평가제의 간극에 대한 비판적 고찰

국문 초록

연구목적: 국가 수준 보육과정인 ’제4차 표준보육과정‘과 정부 주도 하에 시행되고 있는 ’어린이집 평가제‘의 평가지표 사이에 존재하는 간극을 비판적으로 고찰함으로써, 이 둘 간의 관계 재정립에 대한 아이디어를 얻고 향후 제도 개선의 함의를 얻는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 이 연구는 일종의 시론적 연구로, 표준보육과정의 해설서와 어린이집 평가제의 매뉴얼을 텍스트로 상정하여 내용을 비교 분석함으로써 연구자의 주장을 도출하였다. 연구결과: 연구자는 표준보육과정과 어린이집 평가제 간에는 ‘시·공간의 경계 허물기와 경계 짓기’, ‘보육과정을 함께 만들기와 증거 남기기’, ‘기록을 생성하기와 규격 맞추기’의 간극이 존재함을 주장하였고, 이러한 간극 속에서 혼란을 겪고 있는 어린이집(교사)의 위치성에 대해 기술하였다. 논의 및 결론: 표준보육과정과 어린이집 평가제의 간극이 초래하는 보육현장의 탈 놀이화 현상과 영유아 및 교사의 탈 행위주체화 현상을 다시 읽으면서, 국가 수준 보육과정을 반영하고 지지하는 제도로서 평가제의 위치 변화가 필요함을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The article critically described the gap that exists between the 4th National Childcare Curriculum and the Childcare Evaluation System. It aimed to get the ideas for re-establishing the relationship between them and to provide implications for further improvement of the evaluation system. Method: This article, as a kind of essay, assumed the guides of the 4th National Childcare Curriculum and the manual of Childcare Evaluation System as texts to be analyzed and compared the contents to back up the researchers statements. Results: The researchers argued that there are gaps between the National Childcare Curriculum and the Childcare Evaluation System: 'breaking down vs. setting boundaries in time and space', 'creating the childcare curriculum together vs. making the evidences of curriculum', and 'emergent documentation vs. conforming to standards'. Accordingly, the positionality of daycare center (teacher), which is experiencing confusion in the gaps, was described. Conclusion: It suggested that by re-reading the phenomenon of de-playing and the de-agency of young children and teachers in daycare center, it is necessary to change the evaluation index that reflects and supports the meanings of the national childcare curriculum.
