전통 유아교육과 관련된 국내 연구 동향 : 언어 네트워크 분석을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 전통 유아교육 연구의 변화를 파악하고 문화적 세계화의 시대에 우리가 지향해야 할 전통 유아교육의 방향을 가늠하기 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해 언어 네트워크 분석의 방법으로 2002년부터 2021년까지 20년간의 학술지 정규논문 637편을 이용, 방대한 빅데이터 속에서 ‘전통유아교육’과 관련한 텍스트의 핵심 개념을 추출하였다. 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 새로운 밀레니엄의 등장과 함께 2000년대 이후 전통유아교육 관련 연구가 증가하다가, 최근에는 감소 추세를 보이고 있다. 주제와 관련하여 각 개념이 출현하는 빈도를 확인한 결과, ‘전래동요’, ‘전래동화’, ‘전통놀이’, ‘유아’, ‘전래놀이’ 순으로 나타났다. 네트워크 안에서 특정 주제어가 다른 주제어들과 어느 정도 가까운지 그 정도를 나타내는 근접중심성 지수가 높은 주제어는 ‘태교’, ‘유아교육기관’, ‘유아전퉁문화교육’, ‘동화’, ‘국악능력’의 순이었다. 이는 전통 유아교육에서 태교의 역할이 중요하게 인식되고 있음을 의미한다. 연결의 밀집 정도를 분석하여 연구 키워드의 군집 간 관계를 파악한 결과 ‘전통풍속’, ‘사회성 및 전통예술’, ‘인성교육’, ‘언어발달 및 국악’의 4가지 군집으로 분류되었다. 4가지 군집 중, 전통풍속 군집의 크기와 연결이 가장 빈약하여 해당 분야의 연구가 필요함을 시사한다. 이 연구는 전통육아나 전통적 부모역할, 유아와 관련한 풍속에 대한 연구의 필요성 및 전통유아교육에 있어 전통신체표현 활동, 전통미술 활동 등이 보강될 필요성을 제시한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate on the trends in the domestic research regarding traditional early childhood education and to figure out aims for cultural globalization. Using the semantic network analysis, the keywords in 637 academic journals published from 2002 to 2021 were analyzed. The findings were as follows. With the advent of a new millennium, research of traditionalearly childhood education has been increased since the 2000s, but has recently been on the decline. The most frequent appearing keywords were ‘traditional song’, ‘traditional fairy tale’, ‘traditional play’, ‘young children’ and ‘orally transmitted play’. In terms of the closeness centrality which shows how a certain keyword would closely relate to other keywords, ‘prenatal education’ was ranked the highest, and ‘early childhood education institute’, ‘traditional education for young children’, ‘fairy tale’ and ‘Korean classic music ability’ were ranked consequently. It meant that the role of prenatal education was considered very important. The CONCOR(CONvergence of iterated CORrealtion) results showed that four different groups were formed according to the connecting density: ‘Traditional Dependenace’, ’Sociality and Traditional Art’, ’Personality Education’, and ’Linguistic Development and Traditional Music’ and suggested that the more research regarding traditional manners were needed. This study implies that the researchers need to have more interested in traditional early childhood for young children to be more exposed to the traditional activities such as traditional body expression or traditional art activity.
