유아의 행복감에 대한 유아와 부모의 인식

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아의 행복감과 부모의 행복감 간의 관계를 살펴보고, 유아와 부모가 느끼는 유아의 행복감에 차이가 있는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 육아정책연구소(KICCE)의 한국아동패널 7차(2014년) 조사자료를 활용하여 유아와 부모의 주관적 행복감의 평균과 표준편차를 산출하고, 둘의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 또한, 유아, 부모가 느끼는 유아 행복의 차이를 살펴보기 위해 기술통계분석, 상관분석, t검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 유아의 주관적 행복감과 부모의 주관적 행복감은 상관이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아의 주관적 행복감과 부모가 생각하는 유아의 행복감은 상관이 없는 것으로 나타났으나 부모의 행복감과 부모가 인식하는 유아의 행복감 간에는 정적상관이 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 유아 행복에 대한 보다 심도있는 연구의 필요성과 행복의 측정 및 신뢰할 만한 도구 개발의 필요성에 대한 시사점을 제공해 줄 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the happiness of children and their parents, and to find out whether there is a difference in the children’s happiness perceived by children and their parents. To this end, the average and standard deviation of subjective happiness of children and parents were calculated using the seventh survey data of the Panel Study on Korean Children (2014) of the Korea Institute of Child Care and Education (KICCE), and the correlation between the two was analyzed. In addition, descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, and one-way analysis of variance were conducted to examine the differences on children’s happiness recognized by children and parents. The results of this study are as follows. Firstly, it was found that the subjective happiness of children and the subjective happiness of parents were not correlated. Secondly, it was found that the subjective happiness of children and perception of the parents on the children’s happiness were not related, but there was a positive correlation between the happiness of parents and the happiness of children perceived by the parents. These results will provide implications for the need for more in-depth research on happiness of children and the need to measure and develop reliable tools for happiness.
