창의성 수준을 고려한 창의성 마인드셋 척도 개발 및 타당화: 음악, 시각예술, 공학, 과학 분야를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 창의성 수준을 고려한 창의성 마인드셋 척도를 개발하고 타당화하고자 하였다. 창의성에 대한 Four-C 이론에 근거하여 각각 위대한 수준의 창의성(Big-C), 전문가 수준의 창의성(pro-c), 일상 수준의 창의성(little-c)에 관한 마인드셋 척도를 개발하였으며, 창의성의 영역 특수성을 고려하여 음악, 시각예술, 공학, 과학 영역 각각에 대해 마인드셋을 측정하였다. 개발된 문항의 타당도와 신뢰도는 대학생 389명을 대상으로 확인하였다. 분석 결과, 음악, 시각예술, 공학, 과학 영역 모두 창의성 수준에 따라 창의성 마인드셋이 구분되는 것으로 나타났으며, 문항의 신뢰도 또한 비교적 높게 나타났다. 각 영역별로 창의성 마인드셋과 창의적 자기효능감, 일반적 창의적 마인드셋 간에 유의한 상관을 보였다. 창의성 수준별로 창의성 마인드셋을 비교한 결과, 네 영역 모두 위대한 수준의 창의성 마인드셋이 가장 낮게 나타났으며, 일상 수준의 창의성 마인드셋이 가장 높고, 이어 전문가 수준의 창의성 마인드셋이 높게 나타났다. 이는 창의성 마인드셋을 측정하는 데에 있어 창의성의 수준을 고려하는 것이 중요함을 시사한다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구에서 개발한 창의성 수준을 고려한 창의성 마인드셋 척도에 대한 향후 이론 및 교육적 활용 가능성에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to develop and validate a creativity mindset scale that considers the level of creativity. Based on the Four-C Model of creativity, a mindset scale was developed for each level: the great level of creativity (Big-C), the expert level of creativity (Pro-C), and the layperson s level of creativity (Little-C). In consideration of the domain specificity of creativity, the mindset scale was measured for the domains of music, visual arts, engineering, and science. The scale was administered to 389 college students, and the validity and reliability were assessed. The results showed that the creativity mindset was classified according to the level of creativity in all domains. The reliability of the scale was also relatively high. It was also found that there was a significant correlation between creativity mindset and creative self-efficacy for each domain. Also, the great level of creativity mindset was the lowest, and the layperson s level of creativity was the highest, followed by the expert level of creativity mindset. Based on the results, theoretical and practical implications of the study are discussed.
