학습자중심교수, 내·외재적 조절동기 및 학습전략의 종단적 구조관계

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 중학교 1학년에서 3학년으로 성장하는 과정에서 학습자중심교수, 내재적 조절동기, 외재적 조절동기가 학습전략의 변화에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 경기교육종단연구(GELS: Gyeonggi Education Longitudinal Study)의 4차∼6차 자료를 바탕으로 다변량잠재성장모형을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학년 변화에 따른 학습자중심교수, 내재적 조절동기, 학습전략의 모든 변인은 서로 정적인 상관을 보였으나, 외재적 조절동기와는 부적인 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 잠재성장분석결과, 중학생의 학년이 올라감에 따라 학습전략은 점차 높아지지만, 이를 제외하고, 모든 변인은 시간에 따른 감소추세를 보여주었다. 셋째, 다변량잠재분석결과, 학습전략 초기값에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인은 내재적 조절동기 초기값이고, 학습자중심교수 초기값, 외재적 조절동기 초기값 순으로 정적(+)인 영향을 주었다. 학습전략 변화율에 영향을 주는 가장 큰 요인은 내재적 조절동기 변화율이었으며, 학습자중심교수 초기값과 함께 정적(+)인 영향을 미치고 있었다. 넷째, 학습자중심교수에서 학습전략에 이르는 경로에서 내재적 조절동기 변화율과 초기값이 가장 강력한 매개효과를 보이는 요인으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 학습전략을 높이기 위한 방법으로 학습자중심교수와 내․외재적 동기의 차별적 영향을 확인하여 학습자중심교수의 실천적 적용에 관한 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine how learner-centered teaching, intrinsic motivation, and extrinsic motivation affect changes in learning strategies as middle school students grow. In 2014, among middle school students in the first through third years, 4,710 students were analyzed using statistical analysis, correlation, and multivariate latent growth curve modeling. The results of the study are as follows. First, all variables except extrinsic motivation showed a static correlation with each other, but they showed a negative correlation with extrinsic motivation. Second, as a result of analyzing the latent growth curve modeling, it was found that learning strategies gradually increased as the grade level increased from the first to the third year of middle school, but other variables then showed a decreasing trend over time. Third, as a result of analyzing the multivariate latent growth curve modeling, the factor that had the greatest impact on the initial value of the learning strategy was the initial value of the intrinsic motivation, and the greatest impact on the change rate in learning strategies was the change rate in intrinsic motivation. Fourth, the inherent dynamic change rate and the initial value on the path from learner-centered teaching to a learning strategy were found to be the most powerful mediating factors. This study suggests the application of learner-centered teaching to enhance learning strategies.
