국문 초록

오늘날 디지털 기술의 발달과 그에 따른 디자인 업무의 변화는 디자인 교육의 변화를 요구하고 있으며, 그에 따라 대학은 커리큘럼을 체계화시키고 시설 확충을 통해 이러한 교육이 원활히 이루어지도록 노력하고 있다. 그리고 국제화가 디자인 교육에서 또 하나의 화두가 되고 있는 현실에서 디자인 사고를 세계로 넓히고 디자이너로서의 꿈을 세계로 지향할 수 있도록 다양한 교류를 추진하고 있다. 한편, 일자리를 만들기 위해 사회와 기업의 요구에 맞추는 ‘맞춤교육’으로 패러다임이 바뀌고 있다. 이에 대해 디자인 분야에서는 특성화 및 산?학?연?관 협력 등을 통해 변신을 꾀하고 있다. 주지하는 바와 같이 이제 더 이상 대학마다 소위 ‘국화빵찍어내듯’ 획일화된 커리큘럼과 교육시스템으로는 기업이 원하는 디자인 인재를 양성하기 힘들게 되었다. 기업에서 원하는 디자인 인재란 단순히 조형의 완성뿐만 아니라 새로운 가치를 창출할 수 있는 능력을 가진 디자이너이므로, 대학에서는 융합지식을 넓히고 창의적 교육이 이루어질 수 있도록 많은 노력을 기울여야 한다. 따라서 디자인대학은 전공 학생마다 각기 다른 창의성과 개성을 발휘할 수 있도록 능력을 계발시켜야 하는 교육적 과제를 안게 된 것이다.

영문 초록

This study discusses step-by-step problem-solving learning plans for initiative and environment-product design creation. The approach used for this study includes ‘related design sheets’ for different procedures. College sophomore students majoring in design were used for the case analysis, the focus of which was on the entire process of creating concept designs with a theme of “facilities in children’s playgrounds”. The researcher first identified six stages in taking a proper approach to the innovative problem-solving learning process, before developing related design sheets that were used during the class for an environment-product design major. The design sheets referred to here were developed in document format, and were intended to bring out the creativity and logic of students during the different stages of design creation. When these sheets were actually applied to the problem-solving learning process, the students demonstrated clear changes, including better creativity and formative expressions that they could develop by using those design sheets. The professor was also able to evaluate the students from a more comprehensive perspective by using the ‘creativity evaluation sheet’ and ‘formative expression evaluation sheet’. Consequently, the professor was able to provide students with advice on what they needed to improve, while reinforcing their logicality in design, and promoting their creativity. These productive results were possible because this case study was based on the problem-solving learning strategy. To be more specific, when developing the design sheets to promote creativity and formative expression ability, the grouped categories in each sheet were broken down into further specific detail, which allowed the professor to identify which areas needed to be improved for each student, before the student could confirm problem areas themselves.
