옹기의 지역적, 조형적 특성의 이해에 기초한 전통미술 프로그램 개발

국문 초록

지식 정보화 및 국제화, 다원화 시대인 21세기의 교육은 미래 사회의 급격한 변화에 능동적으로 대처해 나갈 유능한 인간을 육성하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 새로운 세기를 맞이하여 국가적 차원에서 교육 개혁이 추진되어 왔으며 학교의 교육 현장 또한 이에 적합한 변화와 개혁을 요구받게 되었다. 이러한 변화 속에서 우리나라의 전통 문화 교육은 제3차 교육과정부터 강조되어 왔는데(이은적, 2005), 다문화 시대로 이어지는 현재에 이르러서는 여러 의미에서 더욱 강조되고 있다고 할 수 있다. 미래는 문화 경쟁력이 자국의 국익에 지대한 영향을 끼치게 될 것이며, 이는 세계 문명의 축이 인간의 질 높은 삶과 문화로 이전됨을 의미한다. 즉, 문화 경쟁력을 기르기 위해서는 무엇보다 자국의 문화 정체성을 인식하고 발전 계승 시키며, 다른 나라의 다양한 문화를 이해하는 태도와 육성이 선행되어야하기 때문이다(이수경, 김정, 이주연, 2003). 세계화, 다문화적인 흐름이 심화 될수록 스스로의 정체성을 확고히 하고 이를 바탕으로 문화에 기초하여 앞서 나가기 위해서는 각 문화의 전통과 문화유산에 대한 깊은 관심과 애호가 매우 중요한 기초를 형성한다. 특별히 이러한 내용을 학습하는 미술교육에서는 전통 문화 및 다문화 관련 내용에 중점을 두고 실제적이고 살아있는 미술교육을 실시하는 것이 매우 중요하다고 하겠다.

영문 초록

The situation confronted by education today aims for an active means to cope with the changes that will occur in the future society to cultivate competent people, as the 21st century is regarded as a society of intellectual information, international communications and pluralism. Recently, the main subject of discussion has been in traditional art education within the field of educating traditional culture. Through play traditional art is understood and experienced as a living culture, simultaneously changing educational strategies to enable students to criticize and comprehend. The objective is to make traditional culture more accessible and approachable to make learning a more enjoyable experience. In doing so they are able to understand and recognize their ancestral roots in order for the culture to continue and not be severed off completely. The study focuses on elementary students in higher grades. The program aims for students to study the regional and formative distinctions found in Onggi wares. With this as the basis for the program, the research also aims to teach students the making process of the Onggi in addition to looking at surface patterns and other aesthetical aspects to create practical daily utilitarian wares. For background research, the study has examined many theses, books, articles and internet webpages on the subject. Analysis was made on the researched materials.
