국문 초록

우리 사회 전반적으로 나타나고 있는 저출산 문제는 생산 가능 인구의 감소·노동력 시장의 축소·경제성장의 둔화 등으로 이어져 결국에는 우리나라를 위기에 빠지게 할 것이다. 최근 우리나라의 저출산 문제 심화에 따라, 정부는 이를 극복하기 위해 저출산 및 고령사회 대응을 국가적 의제로 설정함으로써 다양한 저출산 대책을 수립 및 추진하고 있다. 하지만 이러한 정부의 노력에도 불구하고 우리 사회의 저출산 문제는 여전히 지속되고 있으며, 따라서 새로운 관점에서의 저출산 극복방안을 모색해볼 필요가 있다. 오늘날 이와 같이 저출산 문제가 심화된 배경에는 사회적·경제적 문제 및 가치관의 변화 등 다양한 원인이 존재하고 있다. 그중에서도 결혼자금 부족·취업난 및 고용불안·일과 가정의 양립 갈등·출산 및 양육 부담 등이 저출산의 대표적 원인으로 꼽히고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 저출산 문제를 해결할 수 있는 방안으로서 기업의 ESG 경영전략을 제시하고자 한다. ESG 경영 중에서도 사회(S)영역에 초점을 맞추어 기업이 사회(S)영역의 ESG 경영활동을 성실히 수행할 경우 저출산 원인을 해소하는데 기여할 수 있으며, 기업 자신 역시 투자자와 소비자로부터 좋은 이미지를 형성함으로써 재무성과를 개선할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 따라서 본 연구는 저출산 원인을 해소할 수 있는 방안임과 동시에 저출산 시대 속 기업의 전략으로서 기업의 ESG 경영활동을 제시하고, 그중에서도 특히 사회(S)영역을 강조하고자 한다.

영문 초록

The general social problem of sub-replacement fertility continues to decrease of productable population, shrink of labor market, and slow of economic growth and finally takes our country into crisis. As the deepen of our sub-replacement fertility problem these days, government has prepared various steps through national agenda in order to overcome low birth rate and act the aging society. However, despite these efforts of government, our low birth rate problem continues, so we need to find some way on the new aspect. Nowadays, the problem of low birth rate is raised because of the social and economical issues and the change of thoughts. Most of all the finance deficit of marrying, job instability, conflict of work and household and birth and rasie burden are the representative causes. This research suggests the ESG strategy of corporation as the solution of the problem of low birth rate. As focus on the society sector(S) in ESG management, if the corporations actively manage the social part(S), it contributes the remove of cause in low birth rate and reach the financial goal positively as getting good reputation from investors and consumers themselves. Therefore, the research gives the way to solve the cause of low birth rate and at the same time the corporation’s ESG acts as the strategy in the era of low birth rate, especially social sector(S).
