국문 초록

본 연구는 초기 성인기 미혼 남녀의 이성관계 불만족과 데이트폭력 가해행동의 관계에 대해서 알아보았다. 자기보고식 온라인 설문을 통해 이성 교제 경험이 있는 미혼 남녀 412명의 자료를 바탕으로 성차가 존재하는지 알아보기 위해 성별에 따라 기술통계분석, 상관분석, 독립표본 t-검정, 위계적 다중회귀분석을 실시하였고, 이를 통해 이성관계 불만족과 데이트폭력 가해의 관계에서 불안정 애착의 조절 효과를 분석하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 이성관계 불만족, 데이트폭력 가해행동, 불안정 애착 간에 정적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 남성은 이성관계 불만족과 데이트폭력 가해행동의 관계에서 불안정 애착이 조절 변인으로서 기능하였다. 셋째, 여성은 이성관계 불만족과 성적 폭력의 관계에서만 불안정 애착이 조절 변인으로서 기능하였다. 이러한 결과는 성별에 따른 폭력의 발생 양상에 차이가 있음을 보여주며, 남성은 불안정 애착이 다양한 영역의 폭력 가해행동을 촉발하는 경향이 큰 것으로 나타났으나, 여성에서는 성적 폭력만을 강화한다는 것을 나타낸다. 이는 데이트폭력 가해를 예방하기 위해서 성별에 따라 관련된 측면을 변화시키는 개입의 필요성을 시사한다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점이 논의되었다.

영문 초록

This study investigated the relationship between dissatisfaction in romantic relationships and dating violence perpetration among young unmarried adults. Using data from 412 unmarried individuals with dating experience, collected through a self-reported online survey, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, independent samples t-test, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis were conducted to examine potential gender differences. Additionally, the moderating effect of insecure attachment on the relationship between romantic relationship dissatisfaction and dating violence perpetration was examined. The results revealed the following: First, there was a positive correlation between romantic relationship dissatisfaction, dating violence perpetration, and insecure attachment. Second, for men, insecure attachment functioned as a moderating variable in the relationship between romantic relationship dissatisfaction and dating violence perpetration. Third, for women, insecure attachment moderated only the relationship between romantic relationship dissatisfaction and sexual violence. These findings indicate that the patterns of violence differ by gender, with insecure attachment in men more likely to trigger a broader range of violent behaviors, whereas in women, it specifically intensifies sexual violence. These results suggest the need for gender-specific interventions in the prevention of dating violence. Finally, the study's significance and limitations are discussed.
