『三俠五義』 상투구의 『包閻羅演義』에서의 활용

국문 초록

본고는 청대 협의공안소설의 대표작 『三俠五義』 속 서술적 특징 중 하나인 상투구가 조선시대에 출간된 『包閻羅演義』에서 어떻게 수용되어 활용되는지에 대해 논의하는 데 있다. 상투구는 백화소설에 자주 등장하는 서술 방식이면서 스토리를 구성하는 중요한 요소이기도 하다. 하지만 백화소설의 원본인 공연본이 현재까지 대부분 유실되어 상투구가 형성된 원인에 대한 고찰이 쉽지 않던 중 『三俠五義』 원본 계열 石派書『龍圖公案』이 발견되어 상투구에 대한 근원적인 논의가 가능하게 되었다. 따라서 이에 대한 연구 성과가 학계에 조금씩 소개되고 있는데 『三俠五義』 최초의 국내 버전 『包閻羅演義』 스토리 역시 상투구로 구성됨을 발견하게 되었다. 이에 따라 『三俠五義』 상투구가 국내 버전에 어떠한 형태로 수용되어 설정되었는지에 대한 논의가 이뤄질 수 있다면 해당 작품 속 스토리의 구성 요소가 수용된 근거 뿐만 아니라 『三俠五義』가 『包閻羅演義』로 재창작된 근거 역시 제시할 수 있을 것으로 여겨진다. 따라서 본고는 『三俠五義』가 『包閻羅演義』로 재창작되는 과정에서 전자의 상투구가 어떠한 형태로 수용되어 적용되는지를 살펴보기 위해 두 텍스트 속 상투구를 비교분석 하고자 한다.

영문 초록

This paper was intended to discuss how the cliché, one of the narrative features of 『SanXiaWuYi』, the representative work of the Qing Dynasty's Gong'anwuxia novels, was accepted and utilized in 『BaoYanLuoYanYi』 published in the Joseon Dynasty. The cliché is a narrative style that often appears in Chinese classical novels and is also an important element that composes a story. However, as most of the original performance scripts of Chinese classical novels had been lost, it was not easy to examine why the cliché was formed. In the meantime, the original series of 『SanXiaWuYi』, ShiPaiShu『LongTuGongAn』, was discovered, making it possible to have a fundamental discussion about the cliché. Therefore, the results of that research were gradually introduced in academic circles, and it was discovered that the story of 『BaoYanLuoYanYi』, the first domestic version of 『SanXiaWuYi』, was also composed of the cliché. Thus, if a discussion could be made about how the cliché of 『SanXiaWuYi』 was accepted and established in the domestic version, it would be possible to present not only the basis for the acceptance of the story elements in the work, but also for 『SanXiaWuYi』 being recreated as 『BaoYanLuoYanYi』. Therefore, it was intended to compare and analyze the cliché in the two texts to examine how the cliché of 『SanXiaWuYi』 was accepted and applied while re-creating 『SanXiaWuYi』 into 『BaoYanLuoYanYi』.
