중국 초등학교 『語文』 직유 표현 연구

국문 초록

본고는 중국 초등학교 『語文』 교과서의 직유 표현의 양상을 살펴보았다. 『語文』 은 중국의 문화, 역사 등을 이해하는 기본 자료라고 할 수 있다. 내용을 간추리면 첫째, 직유 표현의 연결어의 빈도수를 알아보았다. ‘像’이 가장 많고, 학년별로 꾸준히 교재에 등장하였다. 이어서 ‘好像’, ‘像∼一樣’, ‘如’ 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 감각 분류에서 시각적 표현이 가장 많고, 청각적 표현이 그 다음이었다. 시각적 표현은 색깔, 모양, 크기, 양이 중심이었고, 청각적 표현은 자연의 소리가 중심이었다. 셋째, 추상성에 따르면, 구체적 사물을 구체적 사물로 비유하는 것이 가장 많았고, 추상적인 것을 추상적인 것으로 나타내는 경우도 있었다. 넷째, 문화적 특징에서 살펴본 9개의 표현은 모두 시각적이었다. 그리고 직유 표현의 비유 대상을 기준으로 할 때 특징은 ‘별’, ‘바다’, ‘거위’, ‘비취’, ‘기둥’, ‘비단’ 등이다. 『語文』의 직유 표현은 비유 대상 기준으로 인류의 보편적인 사고와 중국 고유의 문화 두 가지로 구분할 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study explored the situation of simile expressions in Chinese primary school YUWEN textbooks. Certified by Chinese Ministry of Education, the YUWEN textbooks can be regarded as the most basic material to understand Chinese customs, culture, history, ways of thinking, etc. In particular, since language and culture can be understood simultaneously, it is an unparalleled reference material for teaching Chinese. Typical figurative expressions include metaphor and simile. Since simile is easy to understand in form and clearly conveyed in meaning, we conducted a study on simile expressions. The results of the study are summarized as follows. Firstly, we learned about the frequency of conjunctions that connect tenor and vehicle. ‘Xiang’ has the highest frequency of appearance and continues to appear in textbooks for all grades. Next are ‘haoxiang’, ‘xiang∼yiyang’, and ‘ru’. Secondly, based on sensory classification, there are many visual and auditory expressions. Visual expressions center around colors, shapes, sizes, and quantities, while auditory expressions center around natural sounds. Thirdly, based on attribute classification, concrete things are most commonly compared to concrete things, and abstract feelings are also compared to abstract feelings. Fourth, cultural characteristics. Based on the vehicles of simile expressions, the characteristics are ‘stars’, ‘sea’, ‘geese’, ‘jade’, ‘pillars’, ‘silk’, etc. Through analyzing the tenors and vehicles of simile expressions, we find that they include both universal contents of humanity and Chinese inherent cultural. Language is a part of culture. Therefore, learning the similarities and differences with mother tongue culture through the Chinese way of thinking will help to learn Chinese and express like a Chinese.
