국문 초록

본 연구는 과정 중심 평가 첫 시행 학기의 한 지방 소규모 사립 K대의 성과와 한계를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 사범계열 A학과 학생들이 2학년이 되어 새로운 평가 체제 첫 학기를 경험하며 작성했던 성찰노트를 분석하였으며, 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 과정 중심 평가 전면 시행 첫 학기 성과로는 첫째, 심층적인 사고력 기회 및 학습 효용성 증대를 체감하였고, 둘째, 내·외적 동기 결합을 통한 자발적 목표 설정이 가능하며, 셋째, 즉시 피드백을 통한 학습 내용의 방향성 점검 가능, 수업 목표 달성을 통한 자신감 및 성취감 확보, 넷째, 다양한 교수법과 활동 경험 등을 들 수 있다. 반면, 충분한 숙의 과정 없이 과정 중심 평가를 전격 추진한 만큼 다음과 같은 한계들이 드러났다. 첫째, 지원체제 차원에 있어 인적 자원 및 교수학습지원 시스템 구축 미흡, 둘째, 제도 차원에서 형식화가 야기한 객관성 및 공정성 확보에 대한 회의감, 셋째, 과정 중심 평가의 정의적 측면에 대한 교수자들의 이해 부족, 넷째, 비대면 수업 누적으로 인한 서투른 의사소통과 문제해결역량 학습 기회 결손, 마지막으로 수업이 곧 평가이다 보니 과정 중심 평가보다는 과제 중심 평가, 이로 인해 과제량 부담으로 피로 누적이 야기한 수업 집중도 저하 등이 드러났다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the outcomes and limitations of a small local private K university in the first semester using full process-based evaluation. To this end, the study analyzed the reflection notes written by students of the A Department who experienced the first semester with the new evaluation system, and the results of the study are as follows. As a result of the first semester of the full implementation of process-based evaluation, first, in-depth thinking training and increased learning effectiveness were felt, and second, voluntary goals could be set through a combination of internal and external motives. Third, it is possible to check the direction of learning content through immediate feedback, secure confidence and a sense of achievement through achieving class goals. Fourth, various teaching methods and activities experiences are mentioned. On the other hand, as the process-based evaluation was promoted in a full-scale manner conscious of the government's evaluation trend, the following limitations were revealed. First, the individual difference between poor communication techniques and self-directed problem-solving skills due to the accumulation of non-face-to-face classes, second, the lack of understanding of the affective aspects of process-oriented evaluation by instructors, third, skepticism about securing fairness in peer evaluation caused by formalization, and fourth, class evaluation, rather than process-oriented evaluation, which resulted in a decrease in class concentration caused by fatigue accumulation due to the burden of assignments, and finally, the university's lack of preparation for new evaluations in terms of support systems.
