중국 페미니스트미술에서 일상적 오브제의 활용에 관한 연구

국문 초록

가부장적 사회 환경에서의 남녀 차이로 인한 불평등으로 인해 페미니스트 예술의 발전은 전통적인 남성 중심 미술에 의해 억압되어 왔으며, 여성의 문화적 정체성 구축은 어려웠다. 페미니스트 운동과 여성 의식의 각성에 영향을 받은 중국의 페미니스트 예술은 서양의 예술에 비해 급진적이지 않고, 대신 동아시아 여성 특유의 민감하고 미묘하며 섬세한 특성을 드러낸다. 본 논문은 중국 페미니스트 예술에서 일상적 오브제는 매체로서 어떻게 활용되는 가를 목적으로 한다. 본 연구는 먼저 중국 페미니스트예술의 발전 과정과 네 가지 특징을 분석한다. 이어서 연구자는 페미니스트 예술의 주제 유형과 중국 페미니스트 예술에서 가장 많이 적용되는 일상적 오브제의 다섯가지 유형을 정리하며 주제 유형과 재료 범주를 상호 연관시킨다. 마지막으로 본 논문은 시후이(Shi Hui)의 'Materia Medica 1', 천옌(Chen Yanyin)의 '생각의 실수', 린톈먀오(Lin Tianmiao)의 '침대', 장제스(Jiang Jie)의 '깨지기 쉬운 복제품', 타오 아이민(Tao Aimin)의 '여성의 강' 등 대표적이고 국제적으로 영향력 있는 작품들을 테마형 일상적 오브제 매트릭스 방식으로 분석한다. 이 연구는 중국 여성예술가들이 다양한 여성의 자의식과 삶의 경험, 감정을 표현하고 민족의 문화적 정체성과 여성적 특이 예술언어를 형성하기 위해 생활소재의 특정 매체를 선택함으로써 전통예술을 해체하는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 따라 현대예술의 맥락에서 일상적 오브제는 예술매체의 실현이 확대되고 확장되었다.

영문 초록

In a patriarchal social environment, due to the inequality caused by gender differences, the development of feminist art has been suppressed by traditional male-centered art, and the construction of women's cultural identity has been difficult. Chinese feminist art, influenced by the feminist movement and the awakening of female consciousness, is not as radical as its Western counterpart, but instead exhibits the sensitive, subtle, and delicate characteristics unique to East Asian women. This article aims to investigate how the medium of everyday objects is applied in Chinese feminist art. This study first analyzes the four features of the development of Chinese feminist art. Then, the author summarizes the thematic types of feminist art and the five major categories of everyday objects most frequently used in Chinese feminist artworks and correlates the theme types and material categories. Finally, the current article reviews representative and internationally influential pieces, such as Shi Hui's “Materia Medica 1,” Chen Yanyin's “A Slip of the Thought”, Lin Tianmiao's “Bed”, Jiang Jie's “Fragile Replicas”, and “River of Women” by Tao Aimin are analyzed, in the manner of theme type-life material type matrix. The study finds that Chinese female artists deconstruct traditional art by choosing specific media of everyday objects to express diverse women's self-consciousness and life experience feelings and construct national cultural identity and stylistic forms. As a result, the meaning of everyday objects has been expanded and extended in the context of contemporary art.
