明末 文獻笑話의 웹툰 콘텐츠 제작 연구

국문 초록

중국 문학 장르 가운데 명나라 말기 성행한 笑話는 고정된 형식이 없는 우스운 이야기가 하나의 문학 양식으로 형성된 것이다. 소화는 대체로 편폭이 짧고 소재가 다양하며 웃음과 풍자, 조롱과 비판의 뜻을 담고 있다. 명말에 출현한 소화 가운데 文獻笑話는 고대부터 명말의 각종 문헌에서 이야기를 선별하여 소화의 형식으로 만든 것으로, 민중의 삶에 밀착된 민간소화와는 다른 특징을 가지고 있다. 문헌소화를 통해 독자들이 얻게 되는 독서 체험은 세대마다 다르지만 시간과 공간을 초월하는 보편적 공감을 불러일으킨다. 본고는 명말 문헌소화의 대표작이라고 불릴만한 풍몽룡의 《古今譚槪》 가운데 첫 번째 조목 <소의 안부를 문다(問牛)>를 바탕으로 웹툰 콘텐츠를 제작하였다. 처음 시도된 형식은 웹 일러스트를 통해 책을 소개하는 북툰의 형식이다. 북툰으로 제작된 문헌소화 콘텐츠는 교육현장에서 참고 자료로 활용하기에 큰 문제가 없을 수도 있다. 그러나 우수한 텍스트를 더욱 잘 드러내고 싶은 욕심에 웹툰창작의 이론과 실기를 바탕으로 한 2차 제작을 진행하였다. 2차 제작의 결과물은 1차 제작의 결과물보다 더 웹툰의 형식에 가깝게 나왔다. 본고는 인문학 연구자가 원전 텍스트를 분석하는 작업에서 한 걸음 더 나아가 연구 결과의 확산을 위해 직접 콘텐츠를 제작하는 전 과정을 담았다. 본 연구를 통해 천부적인 예술 재능이 없어도 필요한 기술과 프로그램의 사용법을 익힌다면 누구나 원하는 결과물을 만들 수 있다는 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 본 연구를 바탕으로 앞으로 웹툰창작의 이론적, 기술적 논의가 더욱 세밀하게 진행되기를 기대한다. 아울러 제작된 웹툰 콘텐츠를 어떤 풀랫폼을 통해 배포하고 어떤 방식으로 교육에 활용할 것인지도 지속적으로 고민해보아야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

In ancient Chinese literature, the popular Xiaohua in the late Ming Dynasty is a literary style formed by funny stories without a fixed form. Xiaohua is generally short in length, with various themes, implying laughter, irony, ridicule and criticism. Among the Xiaohua that appeared in the late Ming Dynasty, Wenxian Xiaohua were made in the form of jokes by selecting stories from various documents in the late Ming Dynasty from ancient times. It has different characteristics from Minjian Xiaohua close to people's lives. Through Wenxian Xiaohua, readers reading experience is different in every era, but it has aroused a universal resonance beyond time and space. Based on Feng Menglong's first article in 《Gu Jin Tan Gai》 which is known as the representative work of Wenxian Xiaohua in the late Ming Dynasty, this paper makes Webtoon content. The first format attempted is a format of Booktoon that introduces books through web illustration. It may not be a big problem to use the content of Wenxian Xiaohua made by Booktoon as reference materials in the educational field. But out of the desire to better show the excellent text, I made a second product based on the theory and practice of Webtoon creation. The result of the second production is closer to the form of Webtoon contents than that of the first production. This paper describes the whole process of a human literature researcher directly making Webtoon content in order to further spread the research results in addition to the analysis of the original text. Through this study, it can be concluded that even if there is no gifted artistic talent, anyone can create the desired results as long as they master the required techniques and procedures. It is hoped that on the basis of this study, the theoretical and technical discussion of Webtoon creation will be more detailed in the future. At the same time, I will continue to think about the platform on which Webtoon content will be distributed and how it will be used for education.
