국문 초록

본고에서는 중국 서사 속 우주를 여행하고 돌아온 이야기를 중심으로 우주 공간에 대한 고대 중국인의 사고와 천문학적 상상력, 우주여행 서사의 변천 과정을 살펴보았다. 고대 중국에서는 바다와 은하수가 서로 연결되어있다고 생각했는데, 우주여행 서사는 바로 이러한 생각에서 시작되었다. 대표 작품으로는 張華의 《博物志》에 실린 <浮槎> 이야기를 들 수 있으며 이 이야기 속에서 주인공은 매년 8월이면 나타나는 뗏목을 보고 우주로 나아가 견우와 직녀를 만나고 돌아오게 된다. 서사 속에 주인공이 우주여행을 했다는 증거로 천문학자인 嚴遵이 등장함으로써 도교와 천문학, 점성술과의 관계뿐만 아니라 중국 천문학의 天人感應, 天人合一의 사상도 파악할 수 있다. 이후 우주여행 서사는 서역 탐험가였던 張騫의 서사가 덧씌워짐으로써 우주 공간은 또 다른 異域 세계로 확장되며 더욱 흡입력 있는 서사로 바뀌게 된다. 장건의 우주여행 서사는 계속 변천되면서 명청 시기에는 또 다른 작품이 창작되기도 했는데, <鑑湖夜泛記>에서는 우주 공간이 작가의 욕망이 투영된 仙界의 공간으로 나타나기도 하고 <海天行記>에서는 당시의 역사적 상황이 반영된, 확장된 異域 공간으로 나타나기도 했다.

영문 초록

In this paper, we studied ancient Chinese thinking about space, astronomical imagination, and the transition process of space travel stories, focusing on the story of traveling to space in Chinese epic. In ancient China, it was thought that the sea and the Milky Way were connected, but the space travel narrative began with the idea that the sea and the Milky Way were connected. Representative works include the story of Fu-cha(浮槎) in the book Bo-wu-zhi(博物志) by the author Zhang-Hua(張華). In this story, the main character sees a raft that appears every August and goes into space to meet Qian-niu(牽牛) and Zhi-nu(織女). In the story, astronomer Yan-Zun(嚴遵) appears as evidence that the main character traveled in space, and not only the relationship between Taoism, astronomy, and astrology, but also the ideas of Chinese astronomy. Later, the story of space travel was overlaid with the narrative of Zhang-Qian(張騫), a Western explorer, and space expanded into another world and turned into a more attractive narrative. As the narrative of space travel continued to change, another work was created during the Ming-Qing Dynasty of China. In the work Jian-hu-ye-fan-ji(鑑湖夜泛記), the space appears as a space of desire that reflects the artist's ideology, and in the work Hai-tian-xing-ji(海天行記), it is also an expanded space that reflects the historical situation of the time.
