중일전쟁시기 巴金 단편소설에 나타난 서사적 특징 고찰

국문 초록

본고는 巴金의 중일전쟁시기 단편소설 8편에 나타난 서사적 특징을 그가 이상적이라 여겼던 아나키즘과 연결하여 독해하였다. 이 시기 巴金의 단편소설은 이전의 작품과 달리 제재와 서술에 있어 변화가 있었는데, 본고는 이 변화를 ‘객관적인 전쟁현실 인식’, ‘일상적 삶에 대한 관심’, ‘영웅이 아닌 보통사람 묘사’로 나누어 살펴보았다. 바진은 일본의 침략에 의해 피해를 입은 민중들의 모습을 표현함으로써 제국주의에 대한 반대와 인류지상주의를 강조하였고, 일상의 재현을 통해 대후방의 전쟁현실을 보여주며 당시 사람들이 살던 사회의 성격을 규정해냈으며, 평범한 사람들의 삶과 죽음을 묘사하여 급변하는 사회상황에 따라 심화된 작가의 시대인식을 드러냈다. 아나키즘은 중일전쟁 시기 바진의 단편소설에 표면적으로 드러나지는 않았지만 현실에 더욱 가깝게 다가가고자 한 작가적 시대인식의 기반이 되었다 할 수 있겠다.

영문 초록

This paper read the epic characteristics of Ba Jin’s eight short stories during the Sino-Japanese War in connection with anarchism, which he considered ideal. During this period, unlike previous works, there were changes in sanctions and descriptions in Ba Jin’s short stories, this paper divided these changes into ‘objective recognition of war reality’, ‘interest in daily life’ and ‘description of ordinary people, not heroes’. Bajin emphasized opposition to imperialism and humanism by expressing images of the people affected by the Japanese invasion, through the reproduction of daily life, he showed the reality of war in the rear and defined the character of the society in which people lived at that time, and he depicted the lives and deaths of ordinary people and revealed the artist’s perception of the times that had intensified according to the rapidly changing social situation. Anarchism was not ostensibly revealed in Bajin’s short stories during the Sino-Japanese War, but it can be said that it was the basis for the author’s perception of the era to get closer to reality.
