국문 초록

엘자 스키아파렐리는 예술적이고 독창적인 작품으로 지금까지 회자되는 패션 디자이너이다. 엘자의 주얼리는 표현과 소재의 한계를 뛰어넘어 상징적 가치가 높으나 그녀의 주얼리에 관한 연구가 미흡한 실정이다. 이에 엘자의 주얼리 디자인과 메종 스키아파렐리의 주얼리 디자인의 특징과 연관성을 연구함으로서 조형적 가치를 규명하고자 한다. 연구 결과 엘자는 컬렉션의 테마에 따라 다양한 모티브를 사용하였으며 초현실주의 기법을 사용한 코스튬 주얼리 창조했다. 캐스팅, 세공 기법을 사용한 황동과 합성 스톤, 유리, 진주, 모피, 패브릭, 도자기 등 제한 없이 소재를 이용하였다. 메종 스키아파렐리는 초현실주의 기법 중 트롱프뢰이유 기법을 중심으로 표현하였으며 신체, 사물, 자연, 기하학 모티브를 주로 사용하였다. 캐스팅, 세공 기법을 이용한 황동과 인조 보석, 크리스탈, 진주, 애나멜, 수지 등을 사용하였다. 초현실주의 기법과 모티브로 예술성을 강조한 엘자의 주얼리는 신체 모티브를 초현실주의 기법으로 표현한 오버 사이즈의 메종 스키아파렐리의 주얼리와 깊은 연관성을 지닌다는 것을 알 수 있다. 메종 스키아파렐리는 엘자의 디자인 철학에 깊은 의미를 두며 컬랙션마다 그녀의 디자인을 재해석한 디자인을 선보이고 있다. 엘자와 메종 스키아파렐리의 주얼리는 공통적으로 초현실주의 기법을 이용한 전위적 코스튬 주얼리 표현에 중점을 두었다. 디자인 특성, 모티브, 소재 등의 요소에서 큰 공통점을 지닌 반면 디자인 일관성과 사이즈에서는 차별점을 보였다. 본 연구가 개성과 표현을 중시하는 향후 아방가르드한 주얼리 개발의 기초 자료가 되길 바란다.

영문 초록

Elsa Schiaparelli is a fashion designer known for her artistic and original work. Elsa s jewelry has a high symbolic value beyond the limits of expression and material, but research on her jewelry is insufficient. Accordingly, she intends to identify her formative value by studying the features and connection between Elsa s jewelry design and Maison Schiaparelli s jewelry design. As a result of her research, Elsa used various motifs according to the theme of her collection and created costume jewelry using surrealism techniques. She used casting and craftsmanship techniques, and she used unrestricted materials such as brass, synthetic stones, glass, pearls, furs, fabrics, and ceramics. Maison Schiaparelli focused on the trompe-l oeil technique among surrealist techniques, and mainly used body, object, nature, and geometric motifs. She used brass and artificial gemstones, crystals, pearls, enamels, and resins using casting and crafting techniques. It can be seen that Elsa s jewelry, which emphasizes artistry with her surrealist techniques and motifs, has a deep connection with the oversized jewelry of Maison Schiaparelli, which expresses body motifs in a surrealistic technique. Maison Schiaparelli attaches a deep meaning to Elsa s design philosophy and presents designs that reinterpret her designs in each collection. The jewelry of Elza and Maison Schiaparelli focused on the expression of avant-garde costume jewelry using surrealist techniques in common. While they had a lot in common in elements such as design characteristics, motifs, and materials, they showed differences in design consistency and size. It is hoped that this study will serve as a basis for the development of avant-garde jewelry in the future that emphasizes individuality and expression.
