국문 초록

본 연구는 기업장면에서 기업상담자들이 내담자를 통해 어떠한 문화적 경험을 하였고, 문화적차이로 인한 내담자의 특권 박탈, 억압, 차별 경험에 대하여 어떻게 대응하였는지를 알아보고자수행되었다. 이를 위해 기업상담자 15명을 대상으로 심층면접을 실시하였고, 합의적 질적 연구법을 사용하여 면접자료를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 2개의 영역, 6개의 범주, 35개의 하위범주가도출되었다. 첫 번째 영역인 ‘기업상담자가 경험한 내담자의 문화다양성 경험’은 ‘특권, 억압, 차별이 있음을 듣고 확인함’과 ‘특권, 억압, 차별로 인한 영향이 실재함을 알게 됨’으로 확인되었다. 두 번째 영역인 ‘기업상담자의 역량강화와 옹호 경험’은 ‘역량강화와 옹호 활동을 하고 있었음을발견함’, ‘역량강화와 옹호 과정이 순조롭지 않음을 경험함’, ‘역량강화와 옹호에서 긍정적인 성과를 얻음’, ‘역량강화와 옹호를 위해 준비와 도움이 필요함’으로 도출되었다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 시사점과 향후 연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다

영문 초록

The present study was designed to explore how workplace counselors experience cultural diversity and how they empower and advocate clients with experiences of oppression, discrimination and being underprivileged in work settings. For the purpose of the study, a total of 15 workplace counselors participated in an in-depth interview and the data was analyzed by using the consensual qualitative research method. The analysis resulted in 2 domains, 6 categories and 35 subcategories. For the first domain, ‘experience of clients’ cultural diversity experienced by workplace counselors’, there were two categories of ‘listening to and identifying that there was privilege, oppression, discrimination’ and ‘finding that the influence of privilege, oppression and discrimination actually exists’. For the second domain, ‘experience of workplace counselors’ empowerment and advocacy’, there were four categories identified of ‘realizing that they were doing empowerment and advocacy’, ‘experiencing that the process of empowerment and advocacy is not smooth’, ‘getting positive results from empowerment and advocacy’, and ‘preparation and help for empowerment and advocacy needed’. Lastly, the limitations and implications of the study were discussed
