국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 낙상 위험군인 재활 환자들을 치료하는 물리치료사들의 낙상에 대한 태도와 물리치료실의 낙상 환경 및 낙상예방행위를 조사하고 물리치료사들의 낙상예방행위 예측요인을 확인하고자 시도한 연구이다. 연구 대상자는 부산시 소재 9개 병원 물리치료사로서 134명의 자료를 분석에 활용하였다. 자료수집은 2012년 5월부터 7월까지 2개월에 걸쳐 구조화된 자가보고형 설문지를 이용하여 이루어졌으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 19.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 물리치료사들의 92.5%가 물리치료실 내 환자들의 낙상을 본 적이 있거나 경험한 것으로 나타났다. 낙상예방행위에 영향을 주는 요인은 낙상관련 물리적 환경과 물리치료사들이 치료한 환자의 물리치료실 내에서의 낙상경험 유무이었다. 이를 통해 물리치료사들의 낙상예방행위 실천을 위해서는 무엇보다 물리치료실 내의 낙상예방을 위한 물리적 환경 조성이 동반되어야 함을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to identify physical therapists’ attitudes to the falls and predictors of implementing falls prevention including falls environment of physical therapy department. Respondents were 134 physical therapists working in hospitals that were located in Busan. Data were collected from May 14, 2012 to July 14, 2012 and a structured questionnaire was used. The data were analyzed by SPSS WIN (ver. 19.0). Experience was 92.5% of the physical therapist who witnessed the fall patients in the rehabilitation room. Significant predictors of implementing falls prevention among physical therapists were ‘the environment for falls prevention’ and ‘the experience of witnessing fall patients in the physical therapy department’. Therefore, it’s important that the fall-related environment in the physical therapy department should be built up for the their implementation of falls prevention.
