국문 초록

본 연구는 우리나라 컨벤션개최지의 지역별 현황을 검토하고, 서울과 지방간 컨벤션개최지의 참가고객들이 컨벤션 참가동기, 개최지 선택속성의 중요도와 만족도, 충성도 등에서 차이 여부, 그리고 컨벤션 선택속성의 만족도가 충성도에 미치는 영향 유무 등을 살펴보았다. 분석을 위해 최근 1년 이내 컨벤션 참가 경험이 있는 성인을 대상으로 2011년 1월 25일부터 2월 28일 동안 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 서울과 지방의 응답자 140명의 설문지를 분석에 사용하였다. 연구모형에 대한 가설검증을 위해 교차분석과 t검정, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 서울과 지방간 컨벤션 고객들은 참가동기, 선택속성의 만족도, 충성도 면에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타내고, 선택속성에 만족할수록 재선택의 충성도가 높아지는 특성을 보였다. 이러한 연구결과는 ‘컨벤션개최지의 차이가 정부의 MICE 산업 정책에 반영됨으로써 수도권뿐만 아니라 지방의 컨벤션개최지에 대해서도 정책적 고려와 전략적 배려가 필요함’을 보여주고 있다.

영문 초록

In this paper, the current states and situations of convention venues in Korea are studied, and the differences between convention venues of Seoul and local districts, concerning to 1) the motivation of participation, and 2) the satisfaction and the loyalty of participants in the selection of the venues, are investigated. The survey was carried out from Jan. 25 to Feb. 28, and 140 questionnaires were collected for analysis, who have an experience of participation of the convention meetings within recent 1 year.For the analysis, the cross-classification analysis, t-test, and multiple regression analysis are employed. In this analysis, it is exposed that for 1), there are some significant differences between Seoul and local districts in the motivation of participation, and the satisfaction and the loyalty in the selection of the venue, and for 2), it is known that more the participants are satisfied on the venues, more they reselect the venues again as a selection attribute. The different and similar outcomes of convention venues between Seoul and local districts need to be recycled to the government policy and strategy for the current and future MICE industry in Korea.
