대학의 취업지원노력이 학생들의 취업성과에 미치는 영향력

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학생의 취업 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 대한 기존 연구들의 한계점을 보완하기 위해 대학의 취업지원 노력을 교과과정 차원의 근본적인 노력과 취업지원프로그램과 같은 직접적인 노력으로 구분하여 그 효과성을 비교, 분석하고자 하였다. 이에 보다 객관화된 취업경쟁력 강화모델을 도출하기 위해 자기 보고형 설문조사가 아닌, 학교 행정시스템상의 자료를 분석에 활용하였다. 분석 결과, 교과 과정 부분과 취업지원프로그램인 상담 부분에서 취업자와 미취업자의 구분이 뚜렷이 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 재학 중 교과 이수 학점과 영역을 살펴보면 취업자 집단은 총 평점과 전공 선택평점이 높은 반면, 미취업자는 교양 및 일반 선택 이수학점 수 및 평점이 더 높았다. 상담 부분에 있어서도 취업자 집단은 군/외국어/유학/자퇴/장학/취업/휴학 등 유의한 차이가 발견된 모든 항목에서 미취업자 집단보다 많은 상담건수를 기록한 것으로 나타났다. 입학 부문에 있어서는 신입생 출신 졸업자의 취업률이 편입생 출신 졸업자보다 유의하게 높았으며 다전공 중에서는 복수 전공만이 취업률에 유의한 영향을 주었고 연계 및 부전공은 유의한 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study was performed in order to enhance our understanding about influencing factors of recruitment support system on employment of university graduates. The purpose is to compare and analyze the effectiveness of university’s two different recruitment support systems: fundamental course curriculum support and direct employment assistance program support. The results show that there are significant differences between the employed and the unemployed group in both course curriculum and the usage of employment assistance program while attending the university. For the courses completed and their credit, the employed group shows a high total GPA and a high major GPA while the unemployed group shows a high GPA in general education and general selective courses. In addition to this, the employed group shows a significantly higher number of counseling sessions especially for the part of military service, foreign language, studying abroad, receiving scholarship, finding a job, and others. This article provides a helpful and strategic guidance for the university in order to provide an effective way of using fundamental course curriculum and employment assistance program.
