국문 초록

프로야구의 상업적 성공을 위해서는 프로야구 경기에서 관중에 의한 티켓의 판매가 구장의 수익과 관련된 중요한 문제로 그동안 다양한 접근과 연구들이 프로야구를 관람하는 관중과 같은 경기 외적요인과, 승패모형과 같은 경기 내적인 요인에 대해서 진행되어왔다. 하지만 기존의 연구에서 경기 외적요인과 경기 내적요인을 모두 고려한 연구는 없었다. 따라서 본 연구는 한국 프로야구 관중 수의 결정요인에 대한 다양한 요인을 다루고 이에 따른 실증적 근거를 제공하여 일반적으로 한국 프로야구 관객 수에 영향을 미치는 결정요인을 밝힘으로서 한국야구협회와 구단의 마케팅 전략 및 의사결정에 도움을 줄 수 있도록 하였다. 이에 대한 결과로 고교야구 성적, 구장노후화, 지역 내 남녀성비, 승률 등 경기 내적요인 뿐만 아니라 다양한 외적요인이 관중수에 영향을 주는 것을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

For the commercial success of professional baseball, the sale of the ticket is the importance issue relates with the benefit of the pro-baseball team. The approaches and the researches have performed only with the external factors such as the crowd who watch the game or internal factors such as victory or defeat model. However, the former researches have not fully considered the internal and external factors together. As this research deals with the various factors including the internal and external factors to determine the number of pro-baseball spectators, it would provide the objective basis to affect a number of the crowd. The mutual relationship between the external and internal factors may be known clearly through this research so that it would help the Korea Baseball Organization and each pro-baseball team to develop their marketing strategies and decision process.
