한국 노인의 생애주기별 성공적인 노후에 영향을 미치는 요인

국문 초록

본 연구는 우리나라 노인의 성공적인 노후에 대한 인식과 이에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하여 현재와 미래 노인의 성공적 노후를 위한 사회복지적 함의를 도출하고자 하는 목적에서 이루어졌다. 연구의 분석을 위해 한국노동연구원의 고령화연구패널조사(Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging, KLoSA) 제2차 기본조사 학술대회용 베타버전 자료를 이용하였다. 분석대상은 제2차 기본조사 응답자 8,688명이고 분석방법으로 회귀분석을 사용하였다. 분석결과 노인들의 성공적 노후에 대한 인식에 공통적으로 영향을 미치는 변인들은 건강상태만족도, 주관적 계층의식, 성별, 배우자유무, 종교유무 등으로 나타났다. 반면 생애주기별로 성공적 노후 인식에 상이한 영향을 미치는 변인들은 예비 노인집단에는 사회활동참여, 교육, 경제활동 등이, 전기 노인집단에는 ADL,우울증, 경제활동 등이, 후기 노인집단에는 ADL, 우울증, 사회활동참여가 성공적 노후의 결정요인으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purposes of this study were to compare the perception of successful aging among the future-old, the young-old and the old-old in Korea and to examine the factors associated with successful aging. Data of this study were drawn from the 2008 Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging by Korea Labor Institute and the total number of subjects were 8,688 people. The statistical analysis employed frequency, chi-square and multiple regression. The perception of successful aging of Korean elderly showed differences according to aged groups. The future-old group had a higher level of perception of successful aging than the young-old and the old-old did. The result showed that the influencing factors on successful aging were different among elder groups although common factors influencing successful aging through life cycle. First, the factors which influenced the future-old group were the number of social activities(+), educational level(+), and participation in economic activities(-). Second, the factors which influenced the young-old group were ADL(-), depression(-), participation in economic activities(-). Third, the factors which influence the old-old group were ADL(-), depression(-), the number of social activities(-). The suggestions of this study are 1) to develop social policies facilitating successful aging among the elderly, 2) to provide each aged group with the appropriate programs and intervention services.
