미국 헬스케어 오픈 데이터 기업의 에고 네트워크 분석

국문 초록

본 논문은 네트워크 분석을 위해 웹보메트릭 어날리시트 2.0을 사용하여 “헬스케어” 관련 기업의 웹 영향력을 조사했으며, 목적은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 미국 “오픈 데이터 500 기업” 중 헬스케어 분야에 대해 국가별 관심도와 Open Data Barometer(ODB) 순위 상관성을 분석하는 것이다. 둘째, 헬스케어 분야의 기업들과 에고 네트워크를 맺은 운영자, 콘텐츠, 포맷 유형을 분석한다. 국가별 관심도를 시각화하기 위해 Quantum Geographic Information System(QGIS) 프로그램을 통해 인포그래픽스(infographics) 분석을 시행하였으며, 헬스케어 분야의 기업들과 에고 네트워크를 맺은 유형을 분류하기 위해 Hsu, Park(2012)의 항목과 “오픈 데이터 500 기업”의 기업분류 항목을 사용하였다. 그 결과 북아메리카에서는 미국과 캐나다, 유럽은 영국, 독일이 최상위 국가로 나타났으며, 760개 도메인에 대한 국가별 순위와 ODB 순위 간에 유의적인 상관관계를 확인했다. 또한, 각 도메인의 유형 분류 결과 운영자 유형에서는 민간 기업, 콘텐츠 유형은 헬스와 데이터 기술이 가장 높은 빈도를 가지며, 포맷 유형은 일반적 홈페이지에서 높은 빈도를 차지하였다.

영문 초록

This paper examines some web-mediated influence of U.S. companies which are concerned with ‘health care’ business using open data. Using an API-based open tool, Webometrics Analyst 2.0, their ego-centric networks on the Web were collected, analyzed, and visualized in several ways. First, a total of 760 websites that formed at least one tie with 38 U.S. companies were collected from the Web sphere indexed in Bing.com. Next, the websites owners were manually classified in terms of their countries and geographically visualized using QGIS program. This ‘infographics’ shows the extent to which individual countries are interested in open data-driven ‘health care’ activities. Not surprisingly, American websites were the most connected. Canada, England, and Germany followed. Also, some statistical test was conducted between two world ranking lists. One list was determined in terms of their relational strength with U.S. open data ‘health care’ companies. The other list came from ODB (open data barometer) ranking published by World Wide Web Foundation. Two lists had a significant correlation, revealing that the more active to use open data in general, the more vibrant activities in ‘health care’ field. Lastly, websites were analyzed in terms of their owners, operating contents, and technical format types. As a result, private enterprise in ownership type, health & data technology in operating contents, and regular homepage in format type were dominant respectively.
