국문 초록

2002년 태풍 “루사”와 2003년 “매미” 사례를 선정하여 태풍의 한반도 상륙 후 진행하면서 나타나는 바람 분포 특성을 비교·분석하였다. 태풍이 해안에서 내륙으로 진입하면서 태풍 중심부근의 풍속이 급격히 약화되었으나, 태풍의 공간규모나 태풍 중심의 풍속 세기에 따라 태풍 중심부근의 바람 구조변화나 해안지역에서 나타나는 강풍지역이 달랐다. 또한 강한 바람을 동반한 태풍 “매미”의 경우 10분 평균 최대순간풍속과 최대풍속간의 차이가 크고 국지성이 매우 강하게 나타났다. 태풍에 동반된 풍속의 반경별 분포는 태풍이 육지를 통과하면서 나타나는 태풍 강도와 규모변화와 밀접한 관련성이 있었다. 태풍 중심을 기준으로 사분면별 바람 변화의 특성 조사에서 태풍의 영향을 상대적으로 많이 받는 태풍 중심의 오른쪽지역과 남쪽지역에서 태풍의 접선 바람이 잘 표현되었다. 관측 고도별 바람변화에서 고도 100~400 m의 관측 바람이 어느 정도 태풍에 의한 풍향을 잘 반영하는 것으로 분석되었다.

영문 초록

The characteristics of wind fields over the Korean peninsula in Typhoons Rusa(0215) and Maemi(0314) were examined by using 1-hourly wind data from 67 stations over Korea and 10-min wind data from specific automatic weather stations over the southwestern and southeastern parts of Korea. It was found that the change of spatial wind structure around typhoon center, relatively strong wind-appearing areas to other in coastal regions, and the change of wind fields with respect to the radial distance from typhoon center are largely dependent from the intensity and scale of typhoon passing over the Korean peninsula after landfall. In addition, typhoon Maemi with stronger wind around its center than Typhoon Rusa showed large difference between 10-min maximum sustained wind speed and simultaneous maximum wind speed and strong locality of wind speed in wind fields. The tangential winds associated with typhoon were well expressed in the right and rear sectors of typhoon. The wind data observed at station with the altitude of 100~400m above MSL represented wind direction of typhoon to some extent.
