국문 초록

본 연구는 35세 이하 젊은 미혼 여성의 유방자가검진 지식과 태도 그리고 실천정도를 확인하고 세 변인과의 관계를 파악하는 서술적 상관관계 연구이다. 본 연구의 대상자는 B시에 거주하는 35세 이하 젊은 미혼여성 134명으로 설문지를 이용하여 조사하였다. 자료수집은 2005년 11월부터 2006년 1월까지 실시하였고, 연구도구는 조홍숙(2004)의 유방자가검진 지식도구, 김영복(2000)의 유방자가검진 태도도구, 김미경(1989)의 유방자가검진 실천 측정도구를 사용하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 유방자가검진에 대한 지식정도는 평균 10.42점, 태도정도는 평균 3.05점, 실천정도는 평균 1.81점으로 나타났다. 유방자가검진 관련 지식, 태도, 실천과의 상관관계는 지식과 태도는 유의한 양의 상관관계를 보였으며, 태도와 실천도 유의한 양의 상관관계를 나타냈다. 그러나 지식과 태도는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relations of knowledge, attitudes and practice of breast self-examination among unmarried women under 35 years of age for early detection of breast cancer. The subjects of study were 134 under 35 years aged unmarried women who lived in B city. The data were gathered from November 1, 2005 to January 31, 2006 by questionnaires. The data were analyzed using the SPSS program, yielding frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, One way ANOVA and Pearson s correlation coefficients. The results of this study were summarized as follows. The mean knowledge score was 10.42 and mean attitude score was 3.05. The mean practice score was 1.81.Knowledge about breast self-examination was significantly related to attitudes of unmarried women under 35 years of age toward breast self-examination. Attitudes about breast self-examination was significantly related to practice of unmarried women under 35 years of age toward breast self-examination.
