베트남 랑찬현 초등교사의 세계시민교육 인식 연구

국문 초록

2012년 9월 67차 UN총회를 계기로 글로벌 교육우선구상(Global Education first Initiative, GEFI)에서 글로벌 시민의식 함양을 위한 글로벌시민교육(Global Citizenship Education, GCED)의 목표가 제시되었다. 세계시민의식을 가진다는 것은 세계시민으로서 전 세계적으로 연결된 세계관을 가지는 것, 나와 다른 세계의 다름을 인식하고 인정하며 전체로서의 세계에 대해 관심과 태도를 가지는 것이다. 그러므로 교사의 이해와 인식 없이는 세계시민의식 함양이라는 목적을 달성하기 어렵다. 본 연구는 KOICA 주최 대학이해증진사업 일환으로 2018.12.16.~2019.1.10일까지 국제개발협력 해외봉사활동이 이루어진 베트남 랑찬 현 탄뿍 초등학교 초등교사 40명을 대상으로 세계시민교육에 대한 인식을 알아보고자 설문조사 하였으며 자료분석은 SPSS 25.0 프로그램을 이용하여 요인분석과 신뢰도 검증, t-Test, ANOVA분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 교사들은 세계시민교육의 핵심 내용으로서 각 개념들의 필요성을 느끼며 이러한 개념들이 가진 다양한 관점에 대해서도 나름대로 이해를 하고 있었다. 그러나 의미에 대한 대략적인 파악과 교과서에 대한 의존으로 세계시민교육 내용 요소의 다양한 의미와 관점에 대해 인식한 내용을 교육에 반영하고자 하는 의지가 약한 것으로 드러났다. 따라서 세계시민성을 함양하기 위해서는 기존에 제시된 내용 요소에 대한 깊은 이해와 더불어 이에 대한 다양한 의미, 관점 등을 교육에 반영하여 질적으로 충실한 세계시민교육이 이루어지도록 해야 한다.

영문 초록

Taking advantage of the 67th session of the UN General Assembly in September 2012, the Global Education First Initiative (GEFI) proposed by UN presented the goal of Global Citizenship Education (GCED) to foster global citizenship. Being a citizen of the world means having a world view that is connected with the rest of the world as a citizen of the world, recognizing and acknowledging the differences in the world that are different from you, and having an overall interest and attitude toward the world. Therefore, without the understanding and recognition of teachers, it is difficult to achieve the goal of cultivating global citizenship. As part of KOICA s program to promote understanding of universities, this study conducted a questionnaire survey of 40 elementary school teachers in Langchanhyun, Vietnam, where international development cooperation overseas was conducted, in order to examine their awareness of The Global Citizenship Education. The analysis of data used SPSS 25.0 program to perform factor analysis, reliability verification, t-test, ANOVA analysis. According to the research, teachers felt that each concept was necessary as the core content of The Global Citizenship Education, and they understood the diversity of concepts. However, it has become clear that the government has a weak will to reflect its recognition of the diverse meanings and perspectives of The Global Citizenship Education, depending on the rough grasp of the meaning and the dependence on textbooks.
