국문 초록

본 연구는 기업의 연구개발투자 및 연구개발투자와 시장집중도와의 결합작용이 기업가치에 미치는 영향이 기업의 재무적 특성과 비재무적 특성에 따라 차이를 보이는지를 회귀분석 및 선형제약검증을 기반으로 분석한 것이다. 회귀분석결과에 의하면 연구개발투자는 기업가치에 유의적인 양(+)의 영향을 주는 것으로 나타난다. 이는 기업의 연구개발투자와 같은 혁신활동이 기업의 가치를 제고하는데 기여하고 있다는 것을 의미한다. 연구개발투자의 직접효과와 시장집중도를 통한 결합효과를 분리했을 때, 연구개발투자의 직접효과는 대기업, 고성장 기업, 고자유현금흐름 기업, 고외부자금의존도 기업, 저노동의존도 기업, 저최대주주 지분율 기업에서 더 크게 나타난다. 반면, 자본집약도에 따른 유의적인 차이는 존재하지 않는다. 연구개발투자와 시장집중도의 결합작용은 대기업, 고성장 기업에서는 더 크게 기업가치에 영향을 주는 반면, 자유현금흐름, 외부자금의존도, 노동의존도, 자본집약도, 최대주주 지분율의 경우 유의적인 차이를 보여주지 않는다. 본 연구의 결과는 연구개발비의 직접효과는 기업 특성에 따라 차이가 크나, 시장집중도와의 결합효과는 기업특성에 따른 차이가 크지 않은 것으로 해석된다. 이러한 연구결과는 기업의 연구개발투자와 같은 자본적 지출 의사결정이 기업의 특성에 따라 달라져야 함을 의미한다.

영문 초록

This study is an analysis of the differences in the impact of R&D investment and interaction with market concentration on the corporate value according to the financial and nonfinancial characteristics. The results are as follows. First, R&D investments have a significant positive effect on corporate value. Second, the direct effects of R&D investment is greater in large enterprises, high growth enterprises, high free cash flow enterprises, high dependence on external funds, low labor dependence enterprises and low shareholder equity enterprises. On the other hand, there is no significant difference in equity intensity. Third, the interaction between R&D investment and market concentration has a greater impact on corporate value in large enterprises and high growth enterprises, while it does not show significant differences in free cash flows, dependence on outside funds, dependence on labor, concentration of capital and the equity ratio of the maximum shareholder. The results of this study show that the direct effects of R&D investment vary widely depending on the characteristics of the company, while the combined effects with market concentration do not differ much depending on the characteristics of the company.
