2017년 대통령 후보수락 연설 유튜브 동영상의 댓글망과 의미망 분석

국문 초록

이 논문은 최근 2017년 대통령 선거 사례연구로 대통령 후보수락 연설 유튜브 동영상 중 가장 높은 댓글을 받은 동영상을 대상으로 댓글망 분석, 댓글 단어 빈도 분석, 단어 쌍 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 주요 후보자인 문재인 후보 지지자들은 다른 후보자들에 비해 그들 사이에 더 많이 연결되어 있었다. 그러나 유튜브 댓글망의 지표 중 밀도는 차기 대통령 당선 예측지표로는 유효하지 않았다. 문재인 후보와 다른 후보들의 댓글에도 뚜렷한 차이가 있었다. 문 후보의 경우 대통령이 되기에 충분한 자격이 있다고 주장하는 긍정적인 의견을 제시하는 경향이 있었다. 또한 후보의 대선 메시지가 댓글 상에 함께 나타나고 있었다. 반면 안철수 후보의 경우 하울링 목소리 등 비판적인 의견이 나타났으며, 홍준표 후보의 경우 박근혜 전 대통령 그룹과 태극기로 대표되는 보수 집단의 언어로 댓글이 이루어졌다. 본 연구는 유튜브 댓글 데이터를 이용하여 유튜브 연구 및 선거캠페인 분석에 있어 새로운 연구방향을 제시했다는 점에서 학술적 의미와 함께 사회적 가치가 있다.

영문 초록

This study is based on a case study of the most recent presidential election of South Korea in 2017. Public comments of the most popular Youtube video clips, when candidates give nomination speeches, are examined using reply-to network analysis, word frequency analysis, and bi-gram analysis. The findings reveal that Youtubers supporting the leading candidate Moon Jae-in were more connected among themselves than Youtubers associated with the other candidates. The salient features expressed in peer comments also differed between Moon and his competitors. Youtubers tended to make positive comments supporting Moon, such as those arguing that he is qualified enough to be a leader. Further, his key messages were emphasized in video-based faceless texts. On the other hand, Ahn Cheol-soo received negative comments that included those satirizing his growling voice. For Hong Jun-pyo, Youtubers were divided into pro-Park Geun-hye (immediate ex-President who was impeached) and anti-Park camps. This study provides a useful indicator for those interested in analyzing social media-mediated text data, such as the importance of Youtube.
