구조주의 교육 연구의 방법론적 함의

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 구조주의 교육 연구들을 방법론적 시각에서 재고찰하고, 그 방법론의 교육적 함의를 도출하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구에서는 구조주의 교육 연구를 대체로 Bourdieu의 생성적 구조주의 교육사회학 연구, Apple의 구조주의 교육정 치학 연구, Bowles와 Gintis의 교육정치경제학 연구, Mead의 교육인류학 연구, Bernstein의 언어기호학 전통의 교육사회학 연구, 기타 구조주의 교육 실천과 연구 등의 범주로 나누어 그 이념과 방법론을 살펴본다. 또한 구조적 관념과 시각, 전체적 사고와 관계적 사고, 심층적 구조 탐구 의지, 구조 분석의 방법, 언어학과 기호학의 도구 활용 등의 측면에서 구조주의 교육 연구 방법론의 함의를 심층적으로 분석한다. 현재 교육 연구들에서 기계적이고 피상적인 양적 연구가 산발하고 주관적이고 감성 적인 질적 연구가 넘쳐나는 상황에서 구조주의 교육 연구의 구조적 관점, 전체적·관계적 사고방식과 심층 구조 탐구 의지, 기호학과 언어학 연구 전통과 구조에 대한 정교한 분석 방식은 연구 방법론에 시사하는 바가 매우 크다. 특히 구조주의 교육 연구 에서 교육과정에 관한 담론이 많은 점을 감안하면 교육과정 연구에도 시사하는 바가 크다고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to reinspect structuralism educational research in terms of methodology perspectives, and demonstrate its implication and rationality. For this, structuralism educational researchs has been divided into six categories. Those are, Pierre Bourdieu s generative structuralism educational sociology research, Michael W. Apple s structuralism educational politics research, Bowles S. & Gintis H. s educational political economics research, Margaret Mead s educational anthropology research, Basil Bernstein s educational sociology research based on the tradition of linguistic semiotics research, other structuralism educational practice and research. Further, deep analysis has been done from aspect of structural concept and view, holistic thinking and relational thinking, the will of deep structure explore, structural analysis method, the utilization of linguistic and semiotic tools. Nowadays, the inflexible superficial quantitative research and subjective perceptual qualitative research are full on educational research. In this circumstances, those structuralism ideas and methodology are will be very helpful for researchers. Structuralism educational research includes so many discusses about curriculum. So, this study especially to be helpful for curriculum researchers.
