정치사회화 관점에서 본 북한이탈가정 아동들의 사회적 관계

국문 초록

70여 년간 다른 정치체계를 유지해온 한국과 북한은 민족으로서의 동질성마저 약해지고 있는 상황에서 북한이탈가정 아동들의 증가와 그들의 부적응은 사회적 문제가 되고 있다. 본 연구는 정치사회화 관점에서 북한이탈가정 아동들이 한국 적응과정에서 겪는 어려움과 그 이유를 살펴보고 해결 방안을 찾고자 실시되었다. 이를 위해 S초등학교 교직원을 대상으로 질적 연구를 실시하였다. 연구결과 북한이 정치체계 유지를 위해 개인가치보다는 집단가치를 중시하여 정치사회화 한 결과, 북한이탈가정 아동들은 소속집단을 기준으로 동질감을 형성함에 따라 통합학급의 한국 아동들과 교사에게는 배타적인 관계를 형성하였고, 특별학급 교사 및 아동들 간에는 수용적인 사회적 관계를 맺게 된 것으로 볼 수 있었다. 따라서 교사의 전문성 신장과 한국 아동 및 학부모의 교육으로 그들에 대한 이해를 촉진 시켜야 하고, 모둠학습과 자치활동 등 집단 소속감을 가질 수 있는 유형의 학습방법을 강화한 교육과정을 운영해야 할 것이다. 본 연구는 북한이탈가정 아동들의 한국 적응을 돕는 정치사회화 자료로 의미 있게 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

70 years has passed and even now the homogeneity of the South and North Korean people, who both have different political system, is becoming faint. The increase in North Korean Refugee Children who are in this situation and their settlement in South Korea is keeping the society’s interest at large. In this study, we will examine the political socialization which is one of the difficulties the North Korean Refugee Children undergo during the process of adaptation in South Korea. For this study, we have conducted a qualitative research on the faculty that has been helping the children adapt at S Elementary School. As a result, we could find that North Koreans put an emphasis on collective values rather than personal values, in order to maintain their political system, and with the influence from the political socialization, according to the group’s standard value, an exclusive relationship between the teacher and student was formed as well as the difference between receptive social relationships. Thus, we need to promote the understanding towards North Korean students by using teacher’s professional development and the South Korean students and their parent’s education and help the North Korean students feel a sense of kinship by running a curriculum that intensifies cooperative learning and self-governing activity. This study will be a meaningful reference to the political society education who are helping North Korean Refugee Children settle in South Korea.
