국문 초록

본 연구는 미래의 디자이너를 자신의 진로목표로 설정하고자하는 학생들이 디자인 진로적성을 탐색할 수 있도록 ‘디자인 진로적성검사: 확장형’을 개발하였다. 이는 기존의 디자인 진로적성검사(2009)에 비해 최근의 디자인 분야의 변화를 반영하여, 디자인 기초소양에서는 선행연구들의 분석을 통해 표현력, 창의력, 기획력의 세 영역으로 나누어 다시 세분화된 하위 요인을 추출하였다. 디자인 전공소양에서는 최근의 디자인 진로분야에 부합하는 요인모형을 설정하고, 각 분야의 디자인 전문가들의 타당성 검사를 거쳐 구성된 문항으로 예비 조사를 실시하였다. 예비조사의 대상은 전국 4년제 디자인 대학의 재학생 608명, 본조사의 대상은 1205명이었다. 개발된 문항들은 예비조사와 본 조사, 탐색적 요인분석과 디자인 전문가들의 내용타당도 조사 를 거쳐 디자인 진로적성을 구성하는 하위요인들을 추출하고 최종 검사 문항을 선별하였다. 추출된 하위요인들은 디자인기초소양 척도를 구성하는 소묘력 외 7개 요인, 디자인기초소양 척도를 구성하는 패션 디자인 외 6개 요인으로 나타났으며, 완 성된 검사는 디자인 기초소양 척도 55문항, 디자인 전공소양 척도 45문항으로 구성되었다. 완성된 디자인 진로적성검사에서 설정된 요인구조와 문항간의 관계를 설명하는 모형이 지지되는가를 확인적 요인분석을 실시한 결과 매우 적합한 것으로 나 타났다.

영문 초록

Extended version of Career Aptitude Test for Designers (CATD) was developed in this study. The test was intended for future designers to check if they have design talents or aptitude. This is a direct and supportive manner of guiding students in their design-career decisions. The item development of extended version started with updated and accurate classification of related factors in design ability and majors or departments in 4 year universities. The participants in the pilot study were 608 students majoring in design, and 1,251 students majoring in design across S. Korea were participated in the main study. Exploratory factor analysis and content validity inspections by seven design experts were performed for all the items. Results showed that the 3 factors and eight-subfactor model of ‘basic design competency’ and the seven-factor model of ‘advanced design competency’ were extracted with 55 items and 45 items each. The structural model of extended version of CATD was evaluated with confirmatory factor analysis, which provided a very good fit. It is concluded that the extended version of CATD is a useful instrument for university students to identify their aptitude as future designers.
