예비유아교사들의 교사상 탐구과정

국문 초록

본 연구는 좋은 유아교사가 되기 위한 출발점에 서있는 예비유아교사들이 가지는 교사상에 대한 이미지 표상능력의 중요성에 비추어 이를 다면적인 자서전적 방법을 활용하여 탐구해 보고자 하였다. Pinar가 제시한 다면적 접근을 활용한 자서전적 방법이란 자서전적 글쓰기와 함께 사진, 시, 마임, 미술 등 다양한 예술적 장르를 활용한 표상활동과 타자와의 토론, 피드백과 멘토링 등의 방법을 부가함으로써 예비유아교사들의 교사상을 풍부하고 의미 있게 드러내는 방법론으로 활용될 수 있다. 본 연구는 A시 B대학의 예비유아교사 30명을 대상으로 2015년 9월부터 5개월 간 11회에 걸쳐 참여관찰 동영상, 표상활동 결과물, 연구자 성찰노트, 면담자료 등의 자료를 수집하여 질적 연구 방법으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 예비유아교사들은 자신의 과거로 회귀하여 유아와 교사라는 존재와 조우하며 좋은 교사상에 대한 자신의 인상을 탐구하였다. 둘째, 자신이 생각하는 이상적인 교사상을 시각화하면서 자신이 되고 싶은 교사상을 구체화하였다. 셋째, 자신의 과거와 현재, 미래에 기반 한 교사상 탐구과정으로 현재 학생으로서 삶을 고찰하고, 현재 지점에서 도약하려는 계기가 생성되었다. 이와 같은 결과는 다면적인 자서전적 방법이 예비유아교사들의 교사상 탐구과정에 있어 자신만의 생동적인 교사상 정립에 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study intends to explore pre-service early childhood teachers’ image of teacher using by Pinar’s multilateral approach with an autobiographical method. An autobiographical method using a multilateral approach refers to an approach that diversifies the autobiographical methods by combining autobiographical writing based on the autobiographical method of Pinar with representation activities using various genres of art such as photography, poetry, mime, and art, and methods such as discussions with others, feedback, and mentoring. For this purpose, 30 pre-service early childhood teachers in B University at A metropolitan city participated and responded to, the autobiographical method using a multilateral approach. Data collected for 5 months with 11 sessions. During the research period observatory participation videos, photos and results that include representation activity process, researcher reflective notes, and interview data were collected and analyzed using qualitative research method. The result showed that first, early childhood teachers returned to their past, met children and teachers, and explored their impression about ideal image of teachers. Second, while exploring the ideal image of teachers that they saw, felt, thought, and interpreted, they specified the ideal image of teachers they want to be. While exploring the ideal image of teachers in the connection of the past, the present, and the future, they reviewed their current life as students, strengthened their will and passion, and created a momentum to take a leap from the current standing point. From such results, it is expected that the autobiographical method using a multilateral approach will help establish one s own lively image of teachers in the exploratory process of the ideal image of teachers for early childhood teachers.
