실과 의생활 영역의 다문화교육 프로그램 개발 및 적용

국문 초록

이 연구는 실과 의생활 영역의 다문화 교육 프로그램이 다문화 인식의 변화에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위해 실과 의생활 영역의 다문화 교육 프로그램을 개발하고 이를 초등학교 3학년을 대상으로 적용하여 전후 다문화 인식의 변화를 조사 분석하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 개발한 실과 의생활 영역의 다문화 교육 프로그램은 다른 문화를 이해하는 능력과 존중하는 태도 및 다문화적 문제 상황의 대처 능력을 함양하도록 하는 것을 목표로 하였다. 내용은 남부 및 동부 아시아 국가의 문화인 전통 의상, 전통 가옥, 기념일, 축제, 생활모습, 동물, 다문화 가정의 이해 등으로 조직하였으며, 실행방법은 손바느질 및 디자인하기 활동으로 구성하였다. 8개의 학습주제로 각 2차시씩 총 16차시를 개발하였으며 주제는 다문화 가정을 이해해요, 나는 전통 의상 디자이너!, 어머니날을 기념해요, 게르에서 자고 싶어요, 팬더는 대단해!, 안경 원숭이를 소개해요, 물고기 잡으며 생활해요, 축제는 즐거워! 이었다. 프로그램을 적용 전후 다문화 인식을 조사한 결과 다문화 인식의 개방성, 수용성, 존중성 등이 유의적으로 증가하였고(p<.05), 학생들의 반응은 지식, 감정, 태도의 측면에서 다문화적 능력이 함양되었으며, 흥미와 만족감이 높았다. 따라서 실과 의생활 영역의 다문화교육 프로그램은 다문화적 능력을 함양하는데 긍정적인 효과가 나타남을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to develop an elementary muticultural education program for the clothing area of practical arts and to examine its effect on the awareness of students about multiculture. After a multicultural education program was developed to teach the clothing area of practical arts, third-grade elementary schoolers received education according to the program, and whether there were any changes in their awareness of multiculture was checked to analyze the effect of the program. In addition, the students wrote about how they felt about each learning theme of the program, and their writing was analyzed to find out how they responded to the program. The findings of the study were as follows : The multicultural education program for the clothing section of practical arts aimed at teaching students to understand and value foreign cultures and to cope with multicultural problem situations. So the program covered seven cultural components of those countries: traditional costume, traditional housing, holidays, festivals, the looks of life, animals and multicultural families. And the program was composed of sewing and design activities. As a result of implementing the multicultural education program in the clothing section of practical arts, there was a significant improvement in openness, receptivity and respect for multiculture(p<.05). When the response of the students was checked in terms of knowledge, emotion and attitude, they made progress in every aspect, and found the program to be interesting and satisfactory
