국문 초록

본 연구에서는 기장멸치축제를 중심으로 지역주민과 외지방문객이라는 기준에 의해 축제 참여동기에 대한 차이분석을 살펴보고, 참여동기유형을 파악하여 만족도에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 검증하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 2015년 4월 24일부터 4월 26일까지 3일간 기장멸치축제를 방문한 지역주민과 외지방문객을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 총 340부의 설문지를 배포하여 311부를 최종분석 자료로 사용하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 22.0 통계프로그램을 활용하여 기술통계분석, 신뢰성분석, 요인분석, T-test, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 실증분석 결과 첫째, 체류시간이 4시간 미만인 방문객이 83.7%를 차지하고 있어 단순하게 짧은 시간 축제를 즐기는 단순 방문객이 많다는 것을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 축제참여동기 요인은 사교성, 유희성, 가족화합성, 일탈성 4개의 요인으로 추출되었으며 만족요인은 1개의 요인으로 추출되었다. 셋째, 축제 참여 동기 요인은 지역주민과 외지방문객간에 유의한 차이가 있을 것이다 라는 가설검증에서는 부분적으로 가설이 지지되었다. 넷째, 참여동기요인이 만족에 영향을 줄 것이라는 검증은 부분적으로 지지되었다. 방문객들은 사교성과 유희성에서 높은 지각을 보여 축제를 즐기기 위한 목적이 큰 것으로 알 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study explored different motives for participation of local residents and outside visitors in the Gijang Anchovy Festival, thereby drawing up types of their motives for participation and verify its influence on satisfaction in an empirical manner. For the purpose, a survey was conducted from April 24th, 2015 to April 26th of local residents and outside visitors who came to Gijang Anchovy Festival. Out of a total of 340 packs of questionnaires distributed, 311 which were faithfully filled out were selected for final analysis. To analyze the data, SPSS 22.0 was used for descriptive statistics analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, T-test, and regression analysis. The results from the empirical analysis are as follows: First, in terms of demographic characteristics, 83.7% of visitors stayed in the venue for 4 hours or less, indicating that many of them were ordinary visitors enjoying the festival for a short time. Second, four participation factors were identified: social factor; entertainment factor; family unity factor; and diversion factor. Third, the hypothesis has been partially supported that there could exist meaningful difference in motive for participation between local residents and outside visitors. Notably, no difference was observed between local residents and outside visitors in terms of entertainment factor, family unity factor, and diversion factor. Fourth, the hypothesis has been partially supported that the motive for participation would have an influence on satisfaction. It was found that visitors had high awareness of social factor and entertainment factor, indicating that they came to enjoy the festival for the most part.
