영문 초록

The study analyzes the effects of the various projects related to Taejon EXPO `93 and answers the question of how to link the effects to development as well as the economic activation of Taejon area. Based on the input-output analysis for Taejon area together with the regression(path) analysis, it is found that the effects will be substantial, but not as much as those found in other studies. In order to maximize and link these effects to the regional development, it is argued that EXPO `93 should be a decisive motivation for Taejon to be the core city of the nation an terms of science and technology. Hence, it is proposed that ① venture capital should be induced for Taejon Advanced Industrial Complex in order to apply the research results from Taeduck Science Town, ② the incubation center should be constructed to help venture capital to be stabilized, and ③ the tour industry of specialized and traditional handcraft should be continuously developed.
