특허정보를 이용한 나전칠기 디자인의 가치 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 나전칠기를 활용한 국내 디자인특허 분석을 통하여, 공예 디자인에서 전통문화를 활용한 융합동향을 파악하고 우리나라의 나전칠기 및 전통공예의 발전방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 나전칠기제품 분야를 주거용품, 생활용품, 장식품, 문구류 분야로 분류하여 2000년 이후 국내에 디자인 출원된 동향을 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 나전칠기 관련 공예 디자인 출원은 2000년대부터 점진적으로 증가하는 경향을 나타내었으나, 최근 2013년 이후에는 다소 증가세가 둔화되는 경향을 나타내었다. 나전칠기 공예 디자인의 분야별 출원 건수는, 2000년 초기에는 생활용품관련 출원이 독보적으로 가장 많았던 것으로 나타났고 2000년 중반부터 2010년대 까지는 장식품 관련 출원건수가 가장 많았으며 최근 2011년부터는 문구류 관련 디자인 출원건수가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 나전칠기 관련 디자인 창작시 다양한 재료의 융합에 의한 출원비율은 약 16%로 나타났으며, 이때 사용된 재료의 평균 융합도는 2.1로 나타났다. 최근에는 다양한 재료를 사용하는 융합창작이 활발하게 도입되는 것으로 나타났다. 나전칠기 공예와 관련된 디자인 출원의 경우 공동창작은 전체의 약 17%, 공동출원은 약 6%에 불과한 것으로 나타났다. 공동 창작이 일종의 디자인융합이라는 관점에서 17%의 공동창작비율은 매우 낮은 것으로 볼 수 있으며, 효율적인 융합작품 구상 및 제작을 위한 공동 창작을 활성화 할 필요가 있는 것으로 사료된다. 창조경제시대에 공예 제품과 디자인 출원을 활성화하고, 공예가들의 공동창작과 융합제품 개발을 활성화하기 위한 정부차원의 계획수립과 지원이 필요한 것으로 사료된다.

영문 초록

This following study aims to comprehend convergence trend of crafts design and propose the development guidance of traditional lacquerwork crafts through analyzing the data of domestic design patents. Analyzing the domestic design patent trend after 2000, classified as housing hoods, daily supplies, ornaments and stationeries, following results were gained. Crafts design patent application regarding lacquerwork showed tendency to increase gradually after 2000 whereas recently, after 2013, the increase started to slowdown. The number of patent application of lacquerwork craft design was mostly high in daily supplies in the early 2000, ornaments in the mid 2000 to 2010 and stationeries from 2011 and onwards. The percentage of lacquerwork craft design where diverse materials were converged was shown to be 16% and average convergence level seemed to be 2.1. Recently, convergence creation where various materials are used is shown to be actively introduced. In cases of lacquerwork craft design application, collaborative creation took approximately 17% and joint application took only 6% of the whole. In the aspect that collaborative creation is a kind of design convergence, 17% can be understood as quite low number, thus, for more effective convergence creation design and creation, more vitalized collaborative creation is necessary. In the time of creative economy, governmental planning and support is also required in order to invigorate the application of craft work design and products, as well as craftsmen’s collaborative creation and development of convergence design products.
