영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to consider the design trend and variation of safari look in contemporary fashion collections and supply the reliable basic data for design planning. Safari look photos in fashion collections from 2007 F/W to 2013 S/S seasons were chosen and searched by the key words like 'safari', 'jungle', 'explorer', and 'Africa'. For this study, 35 collections were collected and 216 photos were used in data analysis. Analysis factors were year, season, kinds of clothes, brands, items, silhouette, color, color coordination, color tone, fashion images, and details. The results of this study were as follows. Jacket and coat were appeared in the most on items. There were lots of Y-line colors and also dark and dark grayish and deep tone were common. Single and contrast color coordination were prevalent and ethnic, sporty, and modern images were common. Safari look that appeared in contemporary collections was exceed the classic safari look and had various design modification and therefore it could come up to the public with a sensible and refined look.
