체험관광 구성요인 분석

국문 초록

체험관광객 중에서도 탐조관광객(Birdwatching tourist)은 직접 손이나 발로 움직이는 행위적ㆍ활동적인 체험이 아니더라도 체험관광객이라고 정의한다. 본 연구는 기존 체험관광 구성요인 선행연구를 분석ㆍ정리한 1차적인 자료와 Bernd H Schumitt의 체험 구성요소를 적용하여 탐조관광객을 대상으로 체험관광 구성요인이 무엇인지를 규명하고자 한다. 일반적인 문헌연구를 통한 종합 정리한 체험관광 구성요소 11개 항목을 Schumitt(2002:53~67)의 체험 구성요소 기준의 토대로 적용하여 ‘감각자극성’, ‘심리반응성’, ‘지식교육성’, ‘활동행위성’, ‘유대관계성’의 5가지의 일반적인 체험관광 구성요인을 도출하였다. 본 연구에서 측정될 일반적인 체험관광 구성요인인 감각자극성, 심미자극성, 활동행위성, 지식교육성, 유대관계성의 5개 요인 중에서 요인분석(Factor analysis)을 실시하였다. 그 결과 체험관광 구성요인은 감각자극성, 지식교육성, 유대관계성의 3개 요인이 도출되었고, 이외에 어디론가 벗어나고자 하는 일상탈출성 요인 1개가 더 추가되었다. 이것은 생태 체험관광 중에서 탐조형 체험관광은 동적이 아닌 정적이면서 심리감성적인 특성이 약한 체험관광임을 시사해 준다. 따라서, 체험관광 구성요인은 감각자극성, 유대관계성, 지식교육성, 일상탈출성의 4가지 구성요인으로 규명될 수 있다. 본 연구의 결과는 체험관광 유형에 따른 체험관광 상품개발과 마케팅 측면에서의 시장세분화 전략방안에 실용적인 자료로 활용될 것이다. 그리고 체험관광의 용어 개념 재정립에 기초적인 자료로 기여할 것으로 판단된다. 향후에는 탐조관광에 있어서 보다 세분화된 탐조교육 프로그램 개발도 가능할 것이다.

영문 초록

On-site experience tourist acts a moved band and foot on-site destination. But tourists like birduwatching tourists are usually classified into on-site experience tourists although they are not directly use hands and feet on-site destination. This study analyzed the construct components of tourists' on-site experience through conducting on-site survey for birdwatching tourists and adopting some research results including Schumitt's on-site experience components. The general construct components of on-site experience consist of five experience components including 'sense-stimulus', 'knowledge-education', 'psychology-response', 'bonds-relation', 'activity-behavior'. The result of this study, conducting factor analysis, found that the construct components of tourists' on-site experience consist of four factors including previous experience components like sense-stimulus, knowledge-education, bonds-relation and adding a new factor like 'daily-freedom'. The result of this study implies tint the birdwatching tourism has the characteristics of static behavior on-site destination and weak psychological response. This result of the study may be contributed to develop ecotourism product and to expand the construct of on-site experience tourism.
