4년제 대학의 국가직무능력표준(NCS) 도입에 대한 대학생의 인식에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 4년제 대학 교육과정에서 실무적 측면인 현장적합성을 제고하는 교육수단으로 국가직무능력표준(NCS: National Competency Standards)의 도입에 대하여 실질적인 교육수요자인 대학생의 인식을 살펴보고자 한다. 구체적으로 대학의 교육과정을 어느 정도 경험한 3, 4학년의 고학년 재학생과 졸업예정자를 포함한 졸업생을 대상으로 국가직무능력표준(NCS)의 도입과 대학의 교육과정 개발 및 활용에 있어서 어떻게 인식하고 있는지 1:1 심층면접으로 설문을 진행하였다. 먼저 서면으로 진행된 설문결과, 대다수가 4년제 대학에서의 국가직무능력표준(NCS)을 기반으로 한 교육과정에 긍정적으로 고려하는 것으로 확인되었다. 그리고 기존의 교육과정이나 관련 프로그램들을 보완한다는 측면에 대해서는 공통적인 관점을 가지며 대학의 적극적인 자세를 기대하는 것으로 나타났다. 그 중 일부 학생들을 중심으로 진행한 심층 면접 결과, 학생들은 대학교육의 표준화되는 측면에 대해서 다소 부정적으로 인식하고 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 기반으로 국가직무능력표준(NCS)을 적용하려는 4년제 대학들은 전공 학과별 특성을 고려하여 교육과정을 시험적으로 운영해 볼 필요가 있으며, 학생들의 입장에서 선택적으로 시행해야 한다. 특히, 관광관련 학과는 이론적인 교육 이외에 실무적으로 이루어지는 교육과정이 연계되어야 하므로 실질적인 프로그램 개발을 통해 국가직무능력표준(NCS)을 활용할 수 있는 정부의 단계적인 지원이 마련되어야 함을 제안한다.

영문 초록

This study investigates university students’ perception toward the introduction and applicability of National Competency Standards (NCS) as a means of considering practical aspects in a four-year-course college. Specifically, we want to know how students recognize the development and application of NCS for university education. The object of study set enrolled students including junior and senior students and graduated students including graduating students. The survey method used a questionnaire method with in-depth interview (a face-to-face talk). The results of analysis showed that the majority of students positively considered a education course based on NCS in a four-year college. They expected a positive stance and participation of the university in terms of complementing the existing curriculum and related programs. On the other hand, the results through in-depth interviews were found to consider the standardization of university education negatively. The conclusion of study is to consider characteristics of each major and to be optionally operated by the standpoint of students. In particular, the department related tourism should be provided a practical training courses. Therefore, the government should be positively supported for the development of practical program and applicability of NCS considering each major.
