영문 초록

Elderly consumers emerged as an important group in the market due to the increase of numbers and their purchasing power. The elderly consumers are known to have different characteristics from consumers in other ages in many aspects, and also are expected to show different behavior in dine-out decision making. Therefore this study was conducted to identify the segments of elderly markets by its lifestyle characteristics, as well as to examine restaurant selection preference of each lifestyle segment. The results of the study showed that elderly consumers were classified into following five segments by their lifestyle characteristics: 'challenge & culture pursuing style', 'complex value pursuing style', 'indifferent style', 'fashion pursuing style' and 'health pursuing style'. There was significant difference in restaurant selection preference according to elderly consumers' lifestyle.
