국문 초록

본 연구는 보육교사의 자질이 기관만족도에 미치는 영향력을 파악하고, 다문화효능감이 이들 변인간의 관계에서 어떠한 매개역할을 하는가를 분석하고자 연구를 시도하였다. 연구를 위해 유아보육기관에 자녀를 보내는 다문화가정 학부모 201명을 무작위 추출방식을 통해 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 본 조사에서 수집된 자료의 통계처리는 SPSS 20.0 for Windows 통계 패키지 프로그램을 활용하여 빈도분석, 요인분석과 확인적 요인분석, 신뢰도분석 그리고 AMOS를 이용한 경로분석을 실시하였고, 이에 따른 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 보육교사의 전문성이 높을수록 보육서비스가 낮아지는 것으로 나타났고, 소명의식이 높을수록 이용만족도가 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 보육교사의 전문성이 높을수록 다문화교육 능력과 문화적 포용능력이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 다문화가정 배려가 높을수록 보육서비스, 행정서비스, 이용만족도가 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 보육교사의 전문성이 보육서비스에 미치는 영향이 유의미하게 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 다문화교육의 필요성을 높게 평가함에도 불구하고 유아보육현장에서 다문화교육이 실질적으로 진행되는 것은 차이가 존재할 수 있다는 것을 의미한다. 따라서 유아보육기관에서 다문화교육이 적극적으로 실행되기 위해서는 보육교사들의 다문화에 대한 인식변화와 정기적인 다문화교육이 필요하다고 사료된다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to analyze how the qualifications of childcare teachers influence institutional satisfaction as well as how multi-cultural efficacy works as a mediating variable between those two variables. The study randomly selected two hundred and one (201) multi-cultural parents who send their child(ren) to daycare centers as a study sample. Data was collected and analyzed for frequency analysis, factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), reliability analysis, and path analysis using SPSS 20.0 for Windows and AMOS module. The analyses suggested the following: (1) the higher the teachers' expertise, parents perceived the lower quality of childcare services parents perceived; (2) the higher the teachers's expertise, teachers demonstrated the higher the capablities of teaching multiple cultural aspects and cultural tolerance; (3) the teachers more considerate towards multi-cultural households, the parents perceived the higher the satisfaction of childcare service, administration service, and institutional usage; and (4) the teachers' expertise influenced childcare service significantly. These implied that people highly acknowledge the necessity of multi-cultural education, but there might be a gap between theoretical and actual practices going on in the field. Our results suggest that it is required to achieve the shift of teachers' acceptance and understanding toward multi-cultural households and to provide continuing education of multiple cultures for the teachers on a regular basis in order to encourage beneficial multiple cultural education at childcare institutions.
